No wasn't joking just curious. I dont rock crawl but go in mud occasionally when hunting and always thought I had enough clearance with out a lift.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Could be asked the same way as to why people slam their vehicles so the ground so they have to take speed bumps at an angle and fear incline grades greater than 2%.

Just preference. Be it function, or just form.

Why do people shower? Is it mostly for looks or is functionality behind it?

Same reasons people put spoilers on their sports cars... Looks better, and *might* have a little benefit for some users. But for the most part, I'm guessing, it's for the look. A lot of people just want to personalize things and stand out a bit. Nothing wrong with that.

Ya if you consider offroad to be a dirt road in a forest or desert. There are a ton of trails a stock truck simply cannot go. If you can "drive around" the bad stuff then it sounds like you aren't really offroading to me. I know some trails that if you can't go forward, you are done, good luck trying to go backward now.

Shit the old Almont road (no official name or state/county designation) to our camping site was so bad our 1985 Ford F-350 with 33's (locking hubs and axles) struggled in some of the ruts and you can't go around or you roll off the cliff and die.

I decided to find my own questionable lift images. This leaves me with several questions. I'll just chalk it up to being that "Jeep Thing" I keep hearing about.
