Have posted recently regarding a lift and have narrowed it down, but still trying to figure out exactly what needs to be purchased. Just looking for about 2-3 inches for my 2014 Double Cab 4x4.

I am torn between adjustable 5100 shocks and OME Lift coils

If I were to go the 5100 adjustable route, would I just need to purchase a rear AAL and 5100 rear shocks to achieve a quality and reliable set-up or would the rear stock shocks and an AAL be ok?

If I were to go with the OME Lift coils (885 or 887) What I need to also go with Billstein 5100 shocks or would stock be ok? And for real would a 1-1.5 AAL and stock shocks be ok?

do both and leave the 5100s at the zero setting. I run the 5100s with OME 887s. 1.5" AAL in rear with 5100s. Also replaced UCAs.

Thank you for the info, really like the way that set-up looks in the picture. Also, what size tires do you have with that set-up?

OME is a solid choice, I just installed mine over the weekend and I'm very happy with it.

887x coils with 90021 nitrocharger strut with HS 3 leaf AAL in the rear. Entire setup was under $1,000 and install wasn't terrible.

Bad pics, but this is on TRD pro wheels with 275/70/17 tires

Any sag with this setup after 2 months? I was convinced on getting the Dakar leaf pack but now I'm giving serious consideration to the HS 3 leaf AAL.

No sag with my Dakars, even with a bed filled with sliders, front and rear steal bumpers. They do squeak like a mother f*cker though!

Do the Dakars, they won't sag like an AAL (or allpro springs). I did the ghetto AF inner tube and zip tie mod to keep my Dakars from squeaking - also put in a full set of poly bushings. Mine have been quiet for nearly a year. If they start squeaking, I'll just redo the squeak fix. Easy peasy.

Also, I highly recommend the 5100s + OME coils.

OK so no sagging with the Dakars but a lot of squeaking. All-pros typically sag but won't squeak. Decisions decisions. I personally can't stand the squeaking from my OEM leafs and would like to eliminate it altogether with the new leaf pack I'll be purchasing soon. But the price points between the Dakars and All-pros are not exactly close.

I know some members on here have had their Dakars drilled into for isolators and others are starting to put on the new Dakars that were released last month. I'll be on the lookout for early feedback on these techniques.

I did bilstein 5100 all around, OME 884 up front and HS 3 leaf progressive aal in the back (overload removed). Got about 2" up front and 1.5" in the back. Rides great, and rake from rear to front is now about 1/4" instead of 3/4" that it was. Tires are 265/75/16, and I'm happy with how they fit the new height of the truck.

I have this same setup. I like it a whole lot. I recently bought UCAs and will be upgrading to 885s soon.

OP, you will have to change the shocks to get the desired lift you stated. If you don't tow or haul or plan to install any armor, OME 885 coils and 5100s all around with an AAL (1.5" or 2") will suit your needs well. OME 887s will net you full 3" of lift, up front, but I'm not a fan of how much it angles the CV joints. Dakar rear springs are definitely an awesome option as well, especially if you carry stuff, but will net 2.75" of lift without removing any of the leaves and in an empty bed.

Is there a write up on this MOD? I'd love to give it a shot.
Typically my fix is turning the volume up on the stereo.

There are a few squeaky Dakar fix threads. I combined a couple of them using parts I had on hand. I should've had a spring shop add anti friction pads, but :notsure:

I'll see what I can find using the search function.
