She's the youngest and is great at stirring up trouble! We actually put the tree up without ornaments so that she could explore and get used to it. Then on Christmas Eve we will finish decorating before our family gets there to minimize ornament casualties. She's had a lot of firsts this week with the Christmas tree, fireplace, garland and lights.

Sorry to hear that, I hope your family has a special toast in honor of your oldest cat.

Those 2 cats look like trouble (in a good way). ;)

She can be a boat load of trouble but she loves me and I have to say I think she enjoys the indoors life over the street cat life she had before she wandered up to our house.

    LOL... Love that picture.

If you can keep your cat indoors, my veterinarian said they will live longer and I agree.

One way you can lessen the dread, is enjoy every day you have them in your life, that way when they go to heaven to wait for you, you will have so many great memories there will be less time for dread. :)

Growing up in Maine I occasionally thought if it would be possible to have a pet Bobcat or Linx etc. I salute your pet choice.

    Here's mine:

He likes truck parts almost as much as I do. Cool fact: my roommate's dad found him in a shipping container that came all the way from the east coast when he was a few weeks old.

I see a cat contract from Purina in their future, with them hiring you as managers.

A little off topic, I had to look up the word doppelgangers, so thanks for expanding my vocabulary and sharing your cats too.

Yeah, something about bubble wrap and boxes.

Thanks for the cool story, I guess your cat found a way follow his dreams going West.

These are my 2 cats fonzarelli who we call fonzi and paul-newman who we call newman but most of the time he gets called jerk or @$$hole.
Fonzi likes to protest when the waterbowl is empty.

These are my parents 2 cats that I grew up with and then took care of while they were moving out to a new house (I bought their old house).

They were supposed to be sisters and their names were going to be "rachel and leah", but "leah" turned out to be "leo". They got fixed real quick!

Leo likes to sit like a dude

While rachel sits like a little princess.

They are a hoot. Throw the dog in the mix and we know how clouds/tumbleweeds are made.

Did I mention we have a brown couch?

My cat Buddy was an angora, so pieces of him were always all around the house.

I think we know who rules the brown coach....huh??

For those of us with multiple cats, I recommend getting a CatGenie.

Not that Im lazy, but when you got 2 or more, its a chore.

Anybody else have one/hack to beat litter?

Interesting, as this is the first time I have heard of the CatGenie and after watching this video it does seem gimmicky. How well does it work? ==>

Its amazing, besides having to shell out $60 for a cleaner cartridge (with DRM :frusty:) that lasts 60/120 wash cycles or about 3 months (which im trying to figure out a way to bypass that with a rasberry pi and simple green). I havent had any problems with it and I dont have to scoop litter anymore. All I have to do is hose out the bowl every 6 months.

I have mine in the basement hooked up to the clothes washer drain.
