I got 3 days of jury duty as I got picked once a few years ago. No pay. wtf

Back to day 2 of jury selection. Came prepared today .lol Gonna grab a couple beers for lunch again. So the only really bad part about this now is my company is not paying me after first day. FML

 

Mojave Road December 17-19. Seven trucks max and we have 4 confirmed right now.

If you manage to get kicked too early they send you back to the jury pool and you wait again.

 

My group hasn't even talked yet. Out of 45 only 12 get selected. It's crazy but im faded today so I'll be chillin

True I meant yesterday.

I found out I was on the jury at like 4:15pm the judge prefixed his question to us about excuses with "Due to the short time line for this case I assume none of you have a reason that would not allow you to serve on this jury?"

 

I believe you can actually get into quite a bit of trouble doing that. The dress code is business casual.

 

Yeah I didn't see anyone get in trouble but it also appeared everyone made at least SOME attempt at looking half decent.


Whatever interpretation that may have been.

 

When you sign the Mojave log at the mailbox, if you remember, check the very back of the book. Curious if our Veterans Day Weekend TW entry survived the rains. They had just started a fresh log book when we cruised by. Damn tempted to go on this one with you all. It was a lot of fun. Additionally, there's some old mining cabins you can camp at that were restored not too long ago. I didn't kow about them until we returned. One of them is just past the lava tubes.

Deets on the Mojave run? prerunner accessible?

 

Running it east -> west so theoretically should be 2wd friendly for the most part. Few 4x4s are going to give tugs when needed but for the most part should be good.

Only problem I could see 2wd being a issue would be in some sandy sections but as long as you keep descent speed

 

Sounds like a plan. can't commit to anything yet, holiday season is our busiest but I'll try to touch base next week and see where it's all at.
