Same, i plan on driving it again too... but other than that, yeah not much

It's winter so I usually don't do much customizing because I need it to get me through shitty snow weather.

Jealous but not really, we get the sun and the cold at the same time which is my favorite.

I've focused most of my money that isn't earmarked for rent or gifts at the motorcycle so I can have it all good to go by spring. What kind of stuff did you order.

How often do you people that live in snow wash down the underside of the truck from salt etc?

First time living in a place where they salt the roads:frusty:

No salt here (sand and glycol), so just like the rest of the year I don't wash it.

Do it weekly if they spray the roads with that shit a lot.

Fluid film the crap out of your under carriage.

Not a spec of rust on it anywhere its whole life... hope to keep it that way

I did that at the end of the summer and caked it on. Also they only salt the major highway so shouldn’t be that bad. Ive washed the underside twice now and am already paranoid about the possibility of rust:annoyed:

Only minor rust I've seen is the spot below the ac drain and the battlescar on my rear where the paint scraped from a boulder.

Took him to the car wash and spent about $15 trying to blast all the frozen forestry-road muck off the undercarriage and drive-y bits. It was like a layer of spraycrete...

Overnight, all the doors froze shut.

What's the interchangability of parts like for 3rd 4runners and 1st gen tacomas? I need a PS pump, and found one in good shape off a 98 4runner. it should fit my 99 pickup no?

Ill 2nd this. Good info Ill have to get the whitelines eventually. The sleeves did not come apart nicely when I did mine and that made it incredibly difficult to put together

Never. put undercoating on nice and thick every fall and that does wonders. trucks spent over 20 years in one of the worst places as far as rust goes and the frame is still great.

Honestly no point in washing the body. itl only take a 5min drive for it to be covered in salt just as bad as it was.

Maxxis bighorns are showing wear after 30k. started to sipe them by hand to gain back some traction in snow/ice.
