Did you paint your emblem in the front? Plastidip? Wanting to do that to mine as well.

Hah sorry if I mislead, mine's not the 4x4. I needed the double cab for my son who still rides in the back, so had to go without this time around and really didn't want to shell out for the SR5. Too much value in the SR IMO, even without the 4x. I do a lot of trail driving, nothing too crazy - although I'd love a 4x4. 90% of the time I'm on the road these days. Also have a furniture shop and have been impressed with the bed capacity, but I do need a headache rack.

The tires are for form and function (moreso form) but I have to say the ride is way smoother with this tire size and they handle the dirt way better. IMO should be the stock size. No lift, probably won't bother on a 2 wheel 4-banger.

For the fogs I'm planning on OEM.

I bought an SR because of the price point. I dont really need all the extra addons the OR have on them that no one will use half the time. Plus im a cheap ass

Truth right there. Although, I wish I had 4x4 just in case of emergency, I do little to no off roading so 4x2 will do just fine. I'm also a cheap ass

The off road has the same gears as the SR so you'd still be regearing. Plus push start sucks, crawl control is for people that can't drive, fender flares are ugly, the bedside decals would come off the day I drove it home, dark gray SR wheels are the nicest factory option wheel hands down. The SR is the way to go IMO. I'll spend the $4000 making my truck mine rather than removing ugly factory options I never wanted to begin with.

So why not sell it and buy what you really wanted? I personally hate push start hate the look of cheap plastic fender flares, have no use for a locker, i'm not worried about the 8" rear as i'll never hurt it, love the MGM so really that's the only color I cared about, I wouldn't mind the nicer dash display though. The red interior on the TRD is disgusting, That was a HUGE part of my decision making process along with a number of other things. I love simple and clean, the TRD is none of that. Way too much going on for me personally but to each his own of course. If I could have got an SR with the nicer cluster and all black interior, I would be in heaven. Nothing leather won't fix though and the dash is not the end of the world.

The SR Manuals have the same rear end as the OR's, 8.75". The Toyota factory locker is problematic and has it's limitations. It doesn't function the same as an Eaton Electric locker. I like the OR's but they were over 10g's more than my "loaded" SR.

What all did you do to it? It looks awesome. And the black bumper was growing on me in the beginning when I first saw mine, but now I think I might prefer it over color matched, I have no idea why.

Hafa Adai from the island of Saipan, finally got the time to post up my 3rd Gen. Sr. from an import to this, people always ask me why i didn't get the TRD. Well, it's because i can't afford an extra 10k for the TRD package. Have a great day ya'll!

Hate is highly appreciated. I don't mind the bashing. I'm a newbie at this.

4" Rouch Country suspension lift, MotoMetal 961 18x10 wrapped with Federals 275/65/18. That is all for now.

[IMG] This is my '17 SR - already put almost 10k miles on it in a few months. i4 with no upgrades, pretty much a bone stock crew cab, and i wouldnt have it any other way. Even with the i4 it still pulls my 2000lb+ skiff no problem. Best car/truck i have ever had. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
