Eh not in my case. First ticket in many many years was in my Taco. 47 in a 30, speed trap 2 miles from home. Jerk cycle cop collecting funds for the county, so no warning and full amount. Hope he fell off that parade bike.

When driving my Camaro and a cop is next to me at a stoplight I usually get the thumbs up !! .I was told by a cop about a year ago that because of my age and gray facial hair they know I'm a responsible driver . if I was someone in the mid 20's to late 30's I would be pulled over

I hate driving through there when it's windy. I was just north of Fontana crossing that big wash on I-15 and watched the ass end of a 53' trailer lift off the highway.

Unless the cop is there to write tickets, then they don't care. I live in a county where all the rich people are on the coast and us country folk are towards the East. Every few months the cops setup traps on this side to milk the poor folk of more money. Then they improve the roads on the other side.
I knew I was in for a ticket when I saw the bike. No reason to use that if you're a cop other than parades or funerals. Stupid waste of tax money.

I'm at the bottom of the Cajon Pass maybe 2-3 miles and it gets very windy here and I've seen a lot of semi's laying on their sides over the last 10 plus years I've lived here

The Santa Ana's are starting to pick up early , already seeing 10-15mph sustained and 20 -25mph gusts

The Cal State PD , San Bernardino PD and Sheriffs dept know my Camaro and a few other fast cars here . As long as we don't go stupid they'll leave us alone and usually smile and wave at us

Lot of truth to that, as long as I keep my foot under control LOL. Speed Limit in SD on Interstates is 80. She does pretty good but have to admit that at around 85 there is some shake, shimmy, rattle and a little roll. But leaving a traffic light if I'm first everyone else is quite a ways behind me in the rear view mirror. Seems I can't help myself.

    Sigh...
Although I don't own any shoes or boots made from Croc hide ;) I do have a fair number made from shell cordovan, which is a patch of skin from a horse's ass. Wolverine boots were made out of it 100 years ago along with many others. Last forever or at least a lot longer than cow or calfhide. Love it.
Allen Edmonds made in America from rare Walnut Shell cordovan. Because wingtips aren't just for shoes...

Congrats! Or not. Yeah both of my sons are off the insurance and have been for awhile, instant pay hike. Years ago the oldest flipped his car in the winter when he was coming home from college and hit a patch of ice. Not the phone call you want as a parent but he wasn't injured and no ticket. With his severe OCD it was enough that he hasn't driven since. Good luck and hope things go well for you, daughter and Mom.
