ANYWAY, I just got a line on a used radflow kit for the lexus and called Mule for pricing on an install. I love the people that own that place, but $900 for an install is too rich for my blood. Looks like ill be doing it in the driveway in the rain instead.

 

The way I look at it is do you make 900 in a day?.. if you don't then you can do it in a day,buy a ton of tools and still pocket the money for more mods.

 

Thats for 7 hours of work, so not even a day. Sadly I dont make $125 an hour. When the time comes, i might spring for some air tools to git er done

Rando question and ive done research on the site, but see alot of pre runner set ups and want to ask the local boys. Whats been the predominant size tire for a 3" lift on 17" wheels? 275, 285?

 

Depends on the width and back spacing if the wheels... if the wheels are oem then you need spacers or ucas

 

Most run 285s and some run tall skinnys.... I run 255/85-r16.

 

Ya i am running the stock FJ wheels, I have the SPC UCA's. Putting the Fox 2.5's up front, and bought Sway a ways for the rears with AAL. I want the tires to be full in the wheel wells. So i am thinking 285's. Saw Tire Rack is having a really good sale on the general grabber red letters for $700 for 4. I am partial and have always ran Toyo MT's, just dont have the 1300 laying around

 

You will fit 285s... you will just need to trim the cab mount about a half inch.. bamf males nice filler plates for $20
