I am sadly tacoless now. I recently lost my job due to the crappy economy and was forced to trade my truck for a 94 wrangler for me and a 90 cherokee for my wife to drive, in fear that i would not be able to pay for my wifes car and have to let it go back. The crappy part about the whole thing is that i found a job sooner than i had thought and i have had no problem with paying for the wifes car. Dont get me wrong the two jeeps are nice but niether one of them are a tacoma, maybe one day soon I will get me another one or trade the wrangler for one. I guess the moral of the story is you dont know how much you will miss your taco until it is gone.

Sorry to hear that bro. These are tough times right now and everyone is doing what they have to in order to get by. You're doing what's important for your family right now and I commend you. Good luck with everything and hopefully you'll get another taco soon!

Fortunately the tacoma was paid for, I bought it for $5k from my uncle' it already had a 3" body lift, and I swapped my 3" susp and wheels and tires off my of my 96. I actually sold the 96 (that I have had for 7 years and beat the the crap out of it almost everyday) back in june to a guy from Honduras that lived in Nashville, after I bought the 98. He (And I am not makin this up) actually sent it to flordia put it on a boat and shipped it to Honduras, aparently they like them as much as we do and pay big bucks for them. The jeeps are actually set up pretty good the xj has a 6.5" susp (i think its rusty's), skyjacker nitro 8000 shocks and some quick disc's, the yj is sprungover with a 3" body lift

I would NEVER get rid of my Tacoma! There's just nothing else I would want to drive. Mine's paid off, so there's nothing to worry about, but I feel bad about everyone having such tough economical times.
I get shit from my family all the time b/c I'm a 29yr old bartender... Guess what? People drink more when the economy sucks, so I'm making lots of money right now! Yeah, I have two college degrees, but neither one of them will make me more money than I do now. So, I'll keep slinging drinks while everyone else gets laid off.
