Okay, gotcha. I was looking at LadyRed's truck [I don't know if I can tag her in this] and she doesn't appear to be rubbing at all on the 255s. So I'll definitely be needing the wheel spacers you think?

With the 285 on the stock wheel I would have hit the tire sidewall on the UCA as soon as they were bolted on.

Good thinking. If you will just send me your banking info so I can deduct the shipping, we'll be all set. Thanks for helping take these off my hands.

If you are planning on running 255's you probably won't need the spacers.

Cool. I do like how the skinnier tires look, honestly. Reminds me of my days in a Defender.

But the 285 looks so much better IMO! Just wide enough without getting too 80s roller skateish

Damn it man, you're making me question myself. Do you like your AT2s? I ran them on my old subie and liked them, but I haven't tried them in the snow at all.

    Those new x3s look good...

So far yes i'm very happy BUT they are an aggressive AT so they do make a little noise. I haven't run them in the snow yet either, got my truck in May, lifted right away. I can tell you y dad has had them on his 05 Grand Cherokee for a solid 65K =70K miles and absolutely loves them in everything including mud. He's just getting ready to replace them, they lasted and wore very well.

Just another bit of food for thought. Plan on re gearing, stock 3.90 gears far from cut it with a 33" tire. You'll rarely be in 6th gear if you ever even bother with it. 5th gear at 70 MPH and your only at 2000 RPM, 4th gear is needed on inclines. Plan to go 4.88 which is what i'll be doing over the winter.

Oh man what sort of money pit have I gotten myself into.

Cool. I'm also seeing that my speedo will be way off [on the dash, not my swimsuit]. Is that just life with bigger tires, or is there a way to recalibrate that?

Plan on about 2K for the re gear. You can fix the speedo but I believe the module is $300 or maybe more. Not worth it IMO, I know i'm 4-5 MPH off so I drive accordingly

When you go with aftermarket skids you quickly realize the oem skids are nothing more than splash guards. They are truly good for nothing but looks. I never knew until I took mine off.

Download a free gps speedo app on your phone. Illegally use your phone while you're driving and figure out how far off you are. I know from 0-40ish I'm pretty close. By the time I get around 60+ I'm off by 4-5. It is good to know.

For example: a cop is behind you and you're on your phone. You want to maintain the speed limit so as to not attract attention to yourself.
