Ohh I get on my soap box now and then lol actually if you look that is the second time in less than a month :} Sadly these days there are far to many folks getting charged after defending themselves. I don't care if you use a weapon or a flash light you do what you have to do with the tools at hand no sense in being a victim. Calling 911 is your first and best option but it will take a long time for them to get to you. All the chest beating and brash / bold talk people do used to never come into it nor did the funny signs people posted outside or on their doors we don't call 911 , trespasser's will be shot survivors will be shot again etc.. Now in court they are looking at everything an investigator can dig up from last week to 10 years ago and the investigators are very net savvy. I have seen twitter , facebook , cell phone txt etc being brought up in court.

well said and very true! I also understand the implications of stating your intent and literally never want to have to hurt anyone. if it boils down to my survival and the safety of those I love dearly I will defend myself as I feel I have to. there's common sense differences people need to realize if somebody is breaking into my shed to steal stuff I'm calling the police. material things can be replaced. If life or limb is threatened it's entirely different. the situation here last night ended up being somebody breaking into a house and being killed. the problem with making common sense decisions is that usually goes out the window in the heat of the moment.

beautiful! the new guy at the shop where I used to be able to work is leaving the military on disability. they are letting him keep his dog as they served together and he is also disabled having lost a leg. he is the first dog to have received the cmh I believe what a great gentle soul.

It is a Medal of Courage which is awesome but I didn't think they could award a CMH Congressional Medal of Honor to a dog 4 pups got the award that day . I have said this more times then a care to think about I trust my pup more then any person I know and you can tell them anything and they won't give you up:} He will defend me and I him look up the stats on what happens to subjects who kill or injure working dogs ....just saying
