I don't know about all of them, but i do know that Costa Rica you will have a better result, you will get waited on pre and post op hand and foot like you're royalty, and obviously at a reasonable price.

We are just brainwashed to think that we have the best of everything when in reality... The statistics are out all over that other countries are far far beyond us.

Our fda is so corrupt and lagging behind "due to wanting safety" that we are decades behind other developed countries.

If i needed a non emergency serious surgery, there is no way I'd stay here. There's a reason why people are finally coming around to medical tourism, and only in third world countries do people travel here.

 

Have to make sure the insurance company CEOs continue to get 8 figure annual bonuses.

After raising the prices of lifesaving drugs out of the reaches of the people who need it to survive... In the name of R&D... R&D of their Egyptian silk lined pockets.

i know when i was in the hopsital for my most recent surgery, it was almost $80k. supply and demand.

 

Anything but supply and demand.

The actual costs of an artificial joint are in the range of $500. But, they are marked up, sold with non disclosure agreements to hospitals, nobody knows the actual prices, and people regularly are billed $20k for that $500 item... Not for the surgery... For that single item as part of a $80k bill. That is fraud, not supply and demand. The only companies who make the joints are frequently referred to as operating like a cartel.

Just search, the facts, stories, blogs, info, etc are out there.

 

When my buddy blew his shoulder apart skiing in the backcountry a couple years ago, we decided to self extract to save $ on SAR & then we didn't even call an ambulance once back to the rigs/service, drove to the hospital also in an effort to save $.. still $65k.. had to declare bankruptcy

 

well its because this country has more money so they can get away with it. i hate medical crap. way to expensive for anything

 

It's not because there is money in the country. It's because people are greedy, they have greedy friends in politics who make laws, and now we are here.

And in the end, people would rather march and protest for the rights of a single Facebook famous guinea pig that's fallen on hard times instead of marching for real issues.
