so it's that big a difference from the billies huh.

in what way? what is the ride like compared to stock and the billies?

i have been planing on going with the new (supposedly more firm) OME nitrochargers on 887 or 888 maybe for when i do the bumper and winch.
don't think ill need the 886's since the bumper will be aluminum.

i'd rather buy once cry once but then again it's gonna be a road queen 80% of the time.

can anyone compare the king vs billies vs stock trd off road shocks in terms of feel and ride quality?

feel free to tell me to use the SEARCH, that's usualy what i do but i'm gonna roll the dice..

Why not get Kings for the rear? Intentionally mis-matching front & rear suspension seems like a weird choice, especially considering that Kings use progressive valving and Icon digressive.

Well, I was thinking since there is no weight in the bed, maybe the depressive shocks will allow a softer ride? I still have to research it but to me it seems like having a shock in the rear that doesn't weigh anything that allows it to cycle faster would give a softer ride over all. Again all theory, gotta do some reading

    Got my lift on! :)

I went with Bilsteins all around, OME 887s, and a 3 leaf AAL from Headstrong. To push the wheels out a bit I added 1.25" spidertrax spacers. Tires are 285/70/17 BFG KO2s. No rubbing

*** EDIT *** To answer multiple questions... Stock UCAs (was easily able to align within factory specs) Bilsteins set at 0. All items purchased through Headstrong Offroad. Zero vibration or problems even at 75+ mph highways speeds

How much past the wheel well do the stock wheels sit with 1.25 spacer?

I saved this image from TONS of pages I've been scanning and now can't remember where it came from! If you recognize the truck or if it's yours can you give me lift and tire size details? What are your hub to fender measurements? I've been eyeing the SCS Stealth 6 wheels and I like the proportions of this.IMG_0115.jpg

    EDIT: found it...https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-turtle-build.368021/
