How long do y'all let meat sit in the freezer before you won't eat it? I ran out of freezer room last year and shot a late season doe and took it to the in-laws. Well, they haven't eaten any of it, so I'm confiscating it.

i'm still eatin deer meat from January, but its vacuum sealed. I would say as long as its stored properly 2 years is prolly fine, after that I might start letting the dogs have it. I have also had some that I just put in freezer bags before that was starting to get funky at about a year ish

About a year-ish with a vacuum sealer. Two if the seal is really tight. If I notice a bag doesn't seal tightly often I will double bag/seal it.

We've got a lot of grind this year. Over 50 lbs bagged and sealed ready to go (230lbs total venison meat this year).

Will be making some of this-

    This year's deer:

Plus a couple of girls that were hanging outside my blind last year, for 'artsy-ness'
Same doe is there every year with a yearling.

That's how I got mine this year. He chased a pair of does past me.
