@Cold Iron Thanks man! We haven't seen many birds yet. Only saw about 35 birds this morning but central KY is so hit or miss.

That dog is beautiful. The only pheasants we have around here are quota hunts with placed birds.

May the balls of old man winter drop on Canada and push those ducks your way ASAP! Hope it stops there though, no hurry to freeze my butt off LOL.

The dog is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever or Toller for short I have been around the breed ~30 years. The old man black nosed in my avatar will be 13 in January and been retired from hunting for the last 2 years. The pup in the picture just turned 2. They were breed to look like a red fox and run up and down the shoreline chasing a bumper, ducks have a fatal attraction to the red fox and movement and will swim up to them it is called Tolling. Once they are in range you stand up from behind the blind and shoot the ducks, the dog then swims out and retrieves them. Can only pull that off once the ducks aren't going to fall that trick twice though LOL. I mainly hunt upland- ruff grouse and pheasants they excel at that too.

Last year took the pup to the National Specialty in Wi. he will turn himself inside out chasing a bumper and tolling.

Took more pics of a friends dog who is a pro trainer in Texas than my own dog though. Triple blind retrieve, this was his last leg.

And earned his Master Hunter that day

Hard to shoot pics of moving dogs around water at distance and restricted angles with judges, etc. that is something I would like to get better at.

I prefer the wireless RF remotes. Seem they are more versatile for what I do. I keep a couple of spare batteries in the bag at all times for it.

I bought this one back in 2012 and it has worked flawlessly. When I upgraded to a new camera all I had to buy was a $7 cable for the new camera.

    https://www.amazon.com/Pixel-TW-282-Wireless-Remote-Control/dp/B004DR3GSO

Price has also dropped about $25 since I bought mine.

I thought the burned areas are all still closed? I'm still hoping to get access to Prewitt Ridge in a few weeks, but South Coast Ridge Road is still closed.

Awesome pics! The blackbird is my favorite! There is a book about it called "Sleddriver" Its a pretty good read!

    Here's a funny script from it http://oppositelock.kinja.com/favorite-sr-71-story-1079127041

Pretty amazing plance! I like one part where they ask the control center for permission to fly at 80,000 feet. They respond "Roger, if you can make it that high?" Pilot says "copy descending to 80,000"

Everything is just how it came out of the camera. Haven't gotten around to trying out post processing stuff. I like it when people know how to use it with finesse though. :)

Hopefully in a month or so I'll be able to get out and take some when this semester's over :D

Dude, you weren't scared? I've never encountered one while out hunting but I know if I were to see one up in a tree I'd say 'nevermind' and avoid it lol

Probably one of the craziest pictures I've ever taken, I was just randomly snapping pictures of the mainland as my cruise ship left port and while I was looking through my vacation photos when I got home I came across this picture that I didn't realize I captured.

It's crazy how there was one single car missing in the very center of the photo. To my knowledge, all the Nissans were the same color.
