    You're stock UCA's can and will also limit the down travel of your suspension. Essentially what will happen is that the balljoint will become the limiting factor in the suspension cycle, thus limiting travel and causing premature wear on the balljoint itself. That said, it is not 100% necessary to replace your UCA, a lot of people dont and you will still be able to align the truck, but it is recommended to avoid what I just mentioned
