The only vehicle I've ever had to replace shoes on is my '69, and that's because it has them on the front, and the ones on the back were almost years old and had delaminated.

I'm sure they just need an adjustment and maybe a cleaning. Having a manual, my brakes probably last longer than average.

After Offroading last time, my parking brake wasn't holding for the week after, and the pedal felt soft. I'm sure some of that was water though.

So here's an "I told you so moment"

Finally going to do an oil change after 4,000 miles. I go to lift up the engine cover and it reveals tons of stuck on mud. I can wipe it off with a brisk scrub with a lysol wipe but i cant reach some spots and itll take all day to clean the engine bay. Any suggestions? I haeard of using simple green then just rinsing with garden hose, others say use pressure washer while the car is on. Any suggestions?

Its a 2016 so i dont want anything to go on me prematurley just because i was a newb at off roading and said hey, just floor it in the big pile of mud. I mean this stuff is EVERYWHERE.

Pressure wash it on a rainy day with simple green, that's about the best low-effort method. The moisture in the air will help loosen soften it up, and the pressure washer and the simple green will do the rest. You'll still have some, but no worse than regular road dirt.

You can use a pressure washer, just don't go point blank and be mindful of what you're spraying. I wouldn't spend a lot of time on the air intake where the MAF sensor is for example. I usually wash my engine bay with the sprayer on a garden hose and it does fine. I wipe the top parts that you actually see when you open the hood and call it a day.

You can also get a wheel brush like one of these

This will help you out a lot in getting the heavy stuff off in hard to reach areas. They sell them everywhere, Auto Zone, Pep Boys or Advanced Auto

That looks like something you could get at some other stores also. I bet it's multi-use
