Knock on wood I've had great luck. My 1998 Dodge diesel 3/4 ton had 230K trouble free miles, our 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ currently has 215,000 hard miles on the 4.0 with no issues and if and when that engine gives up the ghost I'm dropping another 4.0 crate motor in it and keeping it.

In fact- my Tacoma was the peskiest vehicle I have ever bought in 32 years of vehicle ownership, and that surprised me. They are nice trucks, I'm not going to knock them, but they certainly were not ready for prime time with this generation. Plus in all honesty it's just too small for what I needed. I can't haul two hunting dogs, my camping gear, kennels and other crap in that little bed.

I just drove my new truck home. It's nice to do 80mph on the freeway and not feel the tranny hunt for gears, up and down, up and down.....

Like I said, i'd spend that on a Silverado long before a Tacoma IMO even the TRDOR is way over priced. In fact, the majority of vehicles sold today are way over priced lol In 2005 I bought a loaded Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab Hemi black on black beautiful truck 32K out the door. Today they're what 40K Thanks but no

Well I got my first oil change this morning asked them to do any updates, transmission again, audio. They only did the oil change said if everything is working fine not to do anything. If it's not broke don't fix it type of thing. I was ok with that because it all seems good.

Just like my shitty high country 6.2 was. Way too many problems at the dealership. My Toyota runs much better. Hope to have no problems. I like my to call my even better. Custom leather heated seats. TRD wheels , shifter.wheather tech floor mats, avs bug shield and side visors,Hard folding under cover ttonneau.Oh and enjoy paying for premium gas. Also if you're holding the tugboat you picked the perfect truck. If not what a waste of money.

Don't get too excited they always have overproduction of vehicles that they can't sell. Just take a look at the stock price between Toyota and GM. Then you know the value of what companies do. Toyota runs a much better quality company. They don't need a buyout from taxpayers. Thank you very much for buying the truck though you're saving me tax money much appreciated.:bananadance:

Way to act like an absolute tool. Even if you don't agree with his purchase, be a mature adult either a) ignore his post or b) congratulate him and go on loving your tacoma.

I really like it! For me I think it's the perfect height. Can still hold all my gear in the back, and still fits in the garage. Super sturdy while using the tent and that's saying something cause I'm a big guy.
