So how is the rental market in Sheridan? @shipps @BabyTaco

I might try and take the job in Sheridan if they are okay with just me working till May. Would allow me to save up some money to move to LA. Going to have a conference call with them on Tuesday.

 

If it was me, and I know ZERO about college workings and such, I don't think I would mention you want to leave so soon.

Unless they are personally asking you to fill the position and your not just applying for it, it sets a bad tone. Just looks like your in and out and not committed you know? Just my humble opinion, I know you would still give 110% at the job no matter the time line, but HR is weird about that stuff.

I only mention becasue my dad is HR and lectures me about stuff like that all the time. The less your company knows about your plans that don't involve them and moving up the ladder, the better.

No you are right. But they are firing the current technical director of the concert hall. So they will need someone no matter what. If its a 1 year contract i won't even do it because of that. But i have much much higher aspirations then a dude running sound for a community college. And im leaving to full fill that.

but if by chance i can finish out the year for them, make some money and they can go on the hunt for someone to go full time all the time. Then I don't see how that would hurt anyone.

 

Ah, then that makes more sense. Yea can't hurt to shoot for that man. Always good to never limit yourself and shoot for what you had intended.

Plus Sheridan is a cool area.

might be worth asking? If you can do some side work there in the summer to justify a salary pay, even if you aren't working a ton, then thats easy money in pocket with more time to wheel here in wyo before heading off to LA.

@Blackdawg When are you moving to LA and for what specifically? I just moved from there and all of my contacts and friends there are in the music business. If you're looking for something specific that I could put you in contact with someone for I'd love to do so..

Never had to rent but the people I know here have never had a problem finding a place.
