I guess it might depend on the rims you're running. I have the 16" countersteer offroads (4.5" bs 0 offset) with 255/85's, 2.5" lift up front, and I only get rubbing in full-lock reverse. didn't need a CMC either. rear is 3.25" lift and no issues.

I'm up in the air between a 265/75/16 and 255/85/16 on these. I have OME 885, LR UCAs so I know I can clear the 255, just worried about the loss of power and needing to regear on 255's.

Guys with 255's and an auto, ar you constantly hunting for gears?

You like the STT Max's? My roommate had them for 13000, had them rotated twice during that time and had a fine alignment and two of the tires literally have 0 tread left. 295/70r17 e rated on a Tahoe. Seems like he just had some really bad luck as a bunch of people run em

And only a 70mm sidewall? I'm sounding like an ass but I just don't see his logic. And zero tread after 13k? I'm all about listening to reviews but I just can't get onboard with that. I live in 100+ degree weather 5 months out of the year. Is he driving over hot coals or something?

With two tires being worn out all ready, on a heavy suv like that, with a v8...sounds like driving like a shithead with excessive burnouts...

They started to go bad on the rear so he put them up front and they continued wearing poorly. He wheels a bit but doesn't drive like an ass, but i'm not making this up. I'm not in town right now but i'll gather all the evidence when I get back into town Monday, Discount Tire hasn't helped him (where he purchased the tires) so he's gonna gather the receipts, take a pic of his mileage and the tires and contact Cooper to see what happens.

Thinking he can break 295s lose with that stock 5.3 is giving Chevy way too much credit :rofl:

For real! I haven't posted anything about it because its between him and Cooper and I don't mean to push anyone away from their business, just figured i'd see what people thought. I'm not bsing here, he has 13k miles on the tires, doesn't drive like an ass and they're bald. The other two are fine, and he's rotated them twice in 13k miles. Even for his heavy ass Tahoe, they're e rated and the roads here in Texas are not known for throwing surprises.

Yeh probably just a defect. He needs to get the receipt from the place he bought them from (didn't buy them locally, couple cities over) and I told him i'd help write up an email to Cooper since Discount Tire totally dicked him.

See thats the thing, if they can hold up a fatass 6.6 they should be able to hold up a mom SUV :anonymous:
