Duty is whatever GST/PST/HST they charge in your province. You show them your receipt, they charge you tax. heck, make a receipt for $450 :)

CBSA website has a duty calculator. Mind you it's only an estimate but it'll give you an idea.

I don't have it right now but we should see a better TRD list by the end of January. Right now we pretty much order them from Dallas and have them shipped up here.

Sweet, I'm in no real rush! Much rather buy Canadian of course, as long as it makes sense.

The problem is it doesn't make sense the price we pay for parts and even with the exchange rate still cheaper to buy and pick up in the US !!
I'd much rather buy my parts in Canada as well but when my dealer tells
Me they can't even come close to the price !! Well what's a man to do $$$

Can someone please verify if the 2017 TRD Sport Manual transmission does not have TPMS? My understanding is the Auto does but manual does not which is weird. Maybe only the Offroads have TPMS?

They all have TPMS, tho the offroads can check every tire pressure, where i believe the sports are just an overall "something is low"

Your right, I just checked on our ordering guide, it looks like only the sport Automatic and the TRD Off road model and the Limited come with TPMS otherwise they don't for 2017/2016

I'm surprised because I thought it was a requirement, but apparently not. Only in the US, not Canada.

Found this on the Transport Canada website:

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is not a manufacturing requirement on new vehicles sold in Canada, or on imported vehicles. Furthermore, there is no federal regulation that prohibits disabling the TPMS system on vehicles, as vehicle use falls under provincial and territorial jurisdictions.

While the TPMS is not a requirement in Canada, the U.S. Federal Regulations require that all new light vehicles sold in the U.S. since September 2007 be equipped with a TPMS. Some manufacturers do offer TPMS on vehicles sold in Canada as either standard or optional equipment. To find out whether the TPMS as equipped conforms to U.S. federal standards or the manufacturer’s own standards, please refer to the owner’s manual or contact the dealership.

Thanks guys! Only other weird thing I'm seeing is no fog lights on the manual either!? That's not terrible I guess, may buy those with a light bar. Receiving the truck tomorrow :)

My 17 TRD sport auto can check every tire. Right now my winter tires do not have tpms but it only turns on the light when I go over 20 km in a trip. Following day it resets and starts over. The light isn't even that bright and it's actually darker than the two green lights for headlights and fog lights.

I should say by checking that it reports the pressure for each tire and updates as driving. It's not just low or OK. Right now on my winter it just shows -- for each tire.

Interesting. My 17' offroad flashes as soon as i turn on the truck and goes solid after a minute or so. It will only reset if i park near where my regular wheels are.

To be fair I am parking in my garage but the tpms goes to sleep in the tires that are on the storage rack. Are you noticing it reset right away as coming back to the tires or is there a delay before driving again such as eight hours or something?

I'll check tomorrow. My GS and my old 2011 did exactly what you are mentioning.

Well I picked up yesterday, pretty happy with it but only have 200km's on it! The website was correct on no tpms but wrong on fog lights as it does come with them, however it didn't come with the smart key which I thought it might, so it's wrong there as well. Where is everyone putting there credit cards though? My old 03 had a nice pocket organizer on the passenger visor. Seems I need an organizer.
