I got 285s Hankook ATM and these tires are pretty quiet on the road and meet all my expectations I had the bfg ats but i like the hankooks a lot more the thread wear is great compared to the bfgs in my opinion.

Thanx again, tires have been ordered.

P265/75-16 ATM rf10...... Thought long and hard about going with the "LT's" but I baby the truck in the rocks and it's mostly used on the road. Trying to keep some of the gas milage. Drove 16,000 miles lst year and averaged 20.8mpg for the year....

They'll get broken in commuting for the next 2 months and then really tested on a 1500 mile (50/50 hwy/dirt) exploring trip. Going from Ca. to the Utah border, turning around and following the Pony Express Trail west across central Nv.

i upgraded to 35's when i got my LT kit installed so it wasnt because of milage when i got my second set. but i'd say at least 15k on em. the wear is good considering i'm on the trail somewhere nearly every weekend..

Got the tyres today. Boss gave me some time to install them. Here at work we are a Tire Rack Installer and as such we have a pretty new balancer and tire mounting machine. My only clue when mounting tyres for customers as to quality control is how well they spin on the balancer and how much weight they take...

My worst P256/75-16 Hankook took .75oz on the inside lip and 1.25oz on the outside. This on stock (notoriously hard to balance) rims.I'd say Q/C is up there with the best of them

I've only driven them to lunch and never exceeded 40mph but I can say they're quiet, smooth, turn good and don't follow grooves and ridges like the old Rugged Fails.... So far I'm a very happy customer.

Thanx again for the help in making this decision.... RON

I am thinking about getting these too now. Anybody have a preference over the P rated or LT rated?
I drive in the desert both sand sand rocky stuff if that helps make the decision.

265/75-16 Dynapro ATM (P rated) great on road and off road performance. Excelled in snow, mud, deep sand, quiet on highway, inexpensive.... ALL GOOD, BUT... they don't last a long time. About 30,000 miles before an issue with a patched flat failing had me getting 4 new tires at Pep Boys because nobody else was open on a Sunday afternoon when it happened. The had only the LT Dynapro ATMs for quite a higher price, so I went with their Destiny Dakota AT (made by Cooper)... which I used to run on my '01 Taco. The Dakotas have 10,000 flawless miles on them and look good for road wear.

You asked for photos of Dynapro ATMs in action:

I had mind for approx 70K miles, but they were the LTs. I don't know how the above user only got 30K miles out of them...maybe to much agressive off roading? I never had to patch my tires either so maybe that patched flat failed because it was a bad patch job?

I took my set of Hankook's well over 60k miles with lots of off road conditions, could have gotten 70 easily. They were fantastic in all conditions except heavy wet snow deeper. They were still ok, but not great.

One of the best AT's I've ever used.

Those getting 60k-70k miles, were they on LTs or Ps?
