    You might be surprised how relaxing it is redoing the shops since it isn't your every day job . I am surprised yours is not insulated up there. I did mine here so I can work on bigger stuff in the winter if I choose with out taking out a loan for kero I want a wood stove but don't know about giving up the floor space for it. I have put up 2x4's to hang stuff off but I use a lot of cabinetry too. If I think about it later I will pull the truck out and take a shot with out it in there so you get a better idea. I am out playing in the smaller one making grinder rests for the one that is dismantled . Yes the small shop has a computer, stereo and tv lol :}

    OH I know about relaxing. When I go to the toy box I shut that door and the stress rolls away. I do what I want, how I want. I actually repair, modify, recondition stuff like I use to 40 years ago. Everybody asked your so stressed at work why would you leave and go work on another car. Well it's not ANOTHER CAR. it's not the same situation. You don't understand, I can't explain it...

    I'm not going to pay 35 bucks a shelf for my cabinet. So I'm experimenting with stacked shelf's. Special tools will go in here. When all set ill paint them all nice and Purdy.

    If you want to see motivational .. stop over to garagejournal and peruse some of the shops there lol mine is nothing to a lot of them. Start here http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51567 you will need coffee and time watch the transformation to what it is today. If you can't see the pictures let me know I will ask the guy if I can cross post a few the first post has a few of the before and after shots but it is far more then that hell he has a book on it that goes around the world that gives the story.

    Keep your eyes open for shelves out of service trucks. We had some laying around but I junked them when we moved to the new office. Of course, since then, I could have used those for several different projects. Road signs work too. We have a few that are faded out that I've used.

    I understand exactly what you're saying. And I think I understand why folks refer to "stealerships". And I don't think you should ever take it personally!

    I really think it has more to do with prices than services - at least I hope so.

    Take me, for example... I think my dealership rocks! They have been nothing but amazing, and have always treated me fairly with both respect and courtesy.

    I use my dealership to provide my scheduled maintenance because that gives me the peace of mind that nothing on my truck is getting neglected, and I know that a thorough set of records are being kept for my warranty purposes. Hell, I even bought the platinum coverage for those reasons.

    That said, if I want to change the oil in my truck myself, I don't love them enough to go buy my oil form them! And If I need a mechanic to put new shocks on my truck, because I choose to not do it myself, it's also very likely that I can find a good, well-respected mechanic at a much better rate than the one at the dealership.

    So, while I don't think I have ever used the term "stealership", please know that if I do, it's because something at my dealership cost me more than I think it should have. And I hereby apologize in advance!

    Oh... And good evening everyone, I hope your Saturday rocks!

    Afternoon everyone

    Finally a day of warm temps and calm winds , walking and driving around my area there's a lot of wind related damage . A lot of damaged trees and roofs and the power was off earlier this morning

    Also found the 30 degree temps are hard on my Camaro as it had a hard time trying to start it this morning . cold temps , milled choke horn and locked out timing is fun in cold weather

    Basically, it's because of the mounting clips. You can't get them separately from the shelf.
    I could make some I guess but when the stuff goes in it will just collect dust. I doubt I'll need to open it.
