Yea I hate fire ants!
I had some mounds poke up after last rain and I killed. But now we have had rains for several days should be real easy to find but another trip to get more ant killer

 

Morning. Plan was to swap over to semi day walker for 3 day break. Watched a movie 'til 1AM hoping I'd sleep 'til 6AMish ... Earthquake at 4:15 ended that 1 +45 early.

Just a little one at 4.5, but enough to wake me up. Oh well, coffee with TW and catch a little news ... still beats the reindeer games of dayshift where I work.

Wish we had a Tractor Supply here ... I'll have to look around for that can, we have half a dozen of the 5 gal cans between Randy and I that we use during hunting and fishing season, with a couple knozzle designs we can tolerate that we have to rotate around the cans.

I used to get excited ... Now a few bumps don't really bother me; I feel them but I don't really worry until unless they last more than 5 to 10 seconds. One last Winter lasted long enough that I actually got under my desk at work; think it rattled and rumble for about a minute. I still prefer them to the threat of hurricanes and tornadoes. Everywhere has it's threats from the fickle bitch Mother Nature.

1986 to 1992 ish 6th street was great then they crushed that and after the big quake out in California as I understand it started to be come Silcon Valley SouthWest to many tech companies lost their data centers and such so they went north, west and South West.

Who needs ant killer jeez get creative gas , polystyrene cups or peanuts a rag and a rock some matches and done. Mix you some gas and Styrofoam to about maple syrup consistency . Put it in a open cup cut from a alum can. Soak a rag in it wrap it around the rock drop the rock in the mound let them get on tearing it up drop the can cup in and toss a match tada :} Course that is because I hate the little bastards :} There have been some serious horror stories with those things.
