My dealer says could be two weeks after build date. Also threw in the "could be longer" just to protect himself. Hoping to get it before Christmas - would make for an excellent present.

You will see a lot more. Very few cements available currently. The white and red is mainly what they are making at this time. Initially the cements were being pumped out with just a few whites and reds.

Just picked up my Super White 6speed M/T from Mountain States right down the street. Got mine on Friday. I thought mine was the only one in Colorado (was even told so by the dealership... hmmm). Looks like we now have TWO TRD Pro's with the 6speed M/T (and both in Super White!). I don't feel as special now. Lol. But big congrats to you! I know how excited you are feeling!

Anyways, I've already put about a 100 miles on mine and I absolutely love this thing. So nice to be back into a 6speed manual after selling my 2000 Taco recently. Pics:

And of course a shot of the shift knob for proof that manual trucks still exist... lol

Also, just to confirm... all you other TRD Pro owners, you're not getting the JBL system in your Pro's right? Early videos of the versions they had on display at car shows showed them having JBL systems installed. From what I gather, both auto and M/T versions just have the premium system and not the JBL. Sound right to everyone?

And one last thing. Anyone know what the max tire size is for the stock TRD Pro? I'm hearing 285/75r16.

Unless you bought in Shreveport someone lied to you.

Correct. The Pro has the premium stereo not JBL.

From what others have said 285/75/16 will work but I wouldn't go that big if you plan on wheeling it. I put 265/75's on mine and I don't have to worry about rubbing while wheeling.

Love the truck man! They're so sharp! Sorry to be the one to burst your bubble, and it sucks the dealer was telling you that. But...it's still quite a rare truck! If I remember correctly only â…“ of the 2,000 Pros will be white, then 5% of those are manual, so there are roughly 25 of us lucky SW 6MT owners I saw one other super white on Groove's Facebook page but that was 6AT.

I'm picking mine up tonight and will be putting an ARE topper on tomorrow, will post pics then.

    St.Germain,
What bushing did you use to keep your shift boot up? Looks nice.

the boot will stay up on its own. i added a rubber grommet with a 3/4" ID simply to cover the inside of the top of the boot where it clips to the OE knob. it's purely cosmetic.

the jam nut under the shift ball is exposed and my fingers land right on it. so, i'm planning to wrap the jam nut down to the boot in a black leather strap for a good tactile feel.

I'm going to give the rubber grommet a try. I didn't like the look of top of the boot where the chrome clip was so I kept the stock knob for now. Thanks.

@Mr.SixTwoTwo and another or two on wait list at Longo. I called the dealer today and spoke to a random sales person because it's been a week and my cc has not been charged for the deposit.
The sales person said that they have not been taking deposits for a couple of months now and only doing a wait list.
Does this sound right to you?

I sent my sales person an email asking for an update last night. Have not heard from him yet. I'm not entirely sure about the waiting list thing, might be half true. I remember him saying that they are not taking more deposits for automatic Pros since they're all spoken for until the next year starts, but then again I'm pretty sure we all wanted MT Pros. However I kind of also remember him saying something along the lines of them not charging CCs for deposits, they just need it for confirmation, but I can't remember for certain. Either way, I used a check, which they did deposit (charged my bank account) on Monday. (I went in and placed my order/deposit Saturday.)

It could be that the person you talked to is unfamiliar with Pros? Or perhaps they meant that the waiting list is the allocation wait list for MT Pros? Lots of possibilities. I'd probably just go to them face to face and clearly explain what you want and any questions you have. If you have questions about them not charging your CC for a deposit you can use me as an example of them actually cashing a deposit, and maybe clear up the whole check vs CC funny business.

It's the not knowing and careless attitude that kills me. I called a few other dealers in the area simply to inquire and they all gave slightly different answers and no one really wants to say how they allocate the Pro's. One dealer told me they can take my name down and they'll call me IF they get one that i'm looking for. Great, so any idea when? time frame, best guess? they have no clue.
Another dealer said, it's what Toyota gives them, but if i come in and run numbers then I can get one pretty soon. How soon? well, you'll have to come in first. Yeah, huge waste of time.

Finally, I called a dealer in Portland. Yes, we're looking for the same, cement 6MT. The guy put me on hold to look through inventory, but then came back to ask me if I wanted short or long bed... i'm thinking wtf... I tell him the Pro only comes in one configuration, short bed, quad cab. Puts me on hold again and a minute later tells me they have a cement in 6MT that they have not put out on the lot yet and when I wanted to come in. Again, I ask him to confirm, is this the TRD Pro Tacoma. I'm not sure the cement is exclusive to Pro / or cement can be ordered outside of the Pro trim. He says he doesn't know too much about "pro" other than what his computer and the Mgr told him. Finally I asked if there was a mark up and he said, No.

My alternative is the TRD OR 6MT in MG if it gets more annoying than this.

I feel ya, I have a sneaky suspicion that most Toyota dealers are more focused on selling normal Tacos rather than dealing with depositing and allocating Pros for a select few customers. Why go through the hassle of dealing with someone who wants a rare trim that takes several months to build when you can sell normal TRDs to every other Bob that walks in the dealership?

I'm also pretty sure Cement is only available on the Pro trim, at least for this year, so if that Portland dealer does have a Cement 6MT and doesn't charge markup, might as well get picture confirmation from the dealer and then deal with them.

I'm perfectly fine waiting for mine, especially seeing as I already have a perfectly functioning 2nd gen Taco with low miles. :D If Longo manages to get my Pro, great! If not, no biggie, I get my deposit back and the world keeps on spinning.
