Good morning, ugh. 3 inches of that white shit outside and supposed to keep snowing until 11. The Physical Therapist told me Monday whatever I do don't shovel snow with my sciatica the way it is. I just stared at her. She stared back at me and said yeah I figured as much with you. And went and got me a spine support belt and showed me how to use it. Will get up to 40 tomorrow or at least the weather guesses say so. Then drops down to single digits on the long term forecast. Going to be a long winter even if it has a slow start this year. The dogs seem to really like the snow even the old man went to the end of the driveway and laid down in it. The plow will come by eventually and I'll have more than a foot there. Did I say ugh?

I have one of those for my 2 cycle mix storage. Like it a lot better than any of those newer ones! My 5 gallon gas\stabile is an old style the last one I have and on its last legs.

For carrying water camping and for the dogs went with the military style Sceptor water cans. Have 2 of the 10L (2.5 gal) because they are easier to carry (lighter) fill, etc. than the 20L.
Got them from Lexington Container Company (thank you Expedition Portal) and they also carry the military Jerry cans. http://www.lexingtoncontainercompany.com/Nato-Jerry-Cans.html
Think that is what I will do to replace my 5 ga. gas can.

My youngest sister was in Austin for a year doing QA for the US Navy Underwater Systems group doing QA for missile systems (at Raytheon) and ranted and raved how great a place it was. That was around 20 years ago though.

No arguments from me, yeah I recall that last year Rob. In San Diego and Alameda sleeping on the ship more than once was rocked to sleep by a quake. Being on the water it amplifies even the little ones. Wouldn't want to be on a ship when a big one hit though.

That's pretty cool and not very to have good old tools still working. Something new in our disposable society would have rotten

We have stupid alcohol in our fuel. It's horrible.... I fix so much shit because of it. So I rotate..
I dont care how good a driver you are. You are at the mercy of black ice. I love it when the news says a driver lost control because of black ice.. YOU NEVER HAD CONTROL TO BEGIN WITH....

I bought new lights for the deck porch railing. Red, White and Blue and they will stay up all year along with my flag. That is the extent of my Christmas decorating this year calling it good and everything else will stay in boxes under the steps storage.

Have to admit that I do miss the family Christmas decorating, etc. Yeah it was always a hassle and PITA. But one of the things I will never forgive the Ex for leaving is she took all of that away too. Eventually will find someone else I'm sure and will have to go through it again, no hurry though LOL.

$&Y* Snow Plow just went by. Warming up a little but not enough to melt anything so just turning everything into heavy wet crap. Will be busy for awhile now  Guess it is time to shift colors and get underway here. All you can eat crab at HyVee for $19.99 today so need to get out of the driveway!
