Too much added weight for the truck - it already looks tired. Wait until it has a year or two of service under its belt. The Tacoma holds its own for what it was designed for, but I wouldn't think of purchasing one for daily commercial use if it involved any more than 700-800 pounds being added to the bed.

or just ram it with a semi and have val kilmer make you a shape charge...like in heat

Dude if hte driver's gotta go, they can just do it in the truck. Sucks but I'd rather that than walk out and get shot at. Also it's not like they don't have radios, so it wouldn't be that long of a wait until backup arrives.

 

Are the fog light guards really necessary?

 

Seems like it is just waiting to overheat. Small vent ports and extra weight.

 

Under the door I think it is a heavy duty lock from what they said in the specs.

 

Only rated for an AK round, that more or less amounts to a 30/30 in terms of bullet weight/velocity.

Velocity tends to trump mass, I've seen my 5.56x45mm go through things that 7.62x39mm wouldn't go through.

Kinda surprising in that there's targets out there made with armour grade abrasion resistant steels out there that are able to stop M855 at 3100fps. That plate steel is only around 5/16 thick.

But then, there's always this I need to get a new picture of it on the hood or bed of my Tacoma.



700 grains at 2800fps. I've smoked 1 1/4 inch mild steel with it(though just barely), should make it through 1/2 inch actual armor grade steel
