Hey guys, so I've been chasing down a problem for a few weeks. thought it was a broken air box the mechanic broke when it was last in the shop.
well, that was not the problem. Did throw a MAF Code, so I bought a new Denso MAF sensor. Nope! still not the problem.
Before those, I had replaced both Cats and the upstream o2 sensor.
thought maybe could be a vacuum leak. so I tried the water bottle trick. still had no success.
the TPS I'm not sure is New. the mechanic says he replaced that when he did the valve cover gaskets. but I don't remember being charged for one. (The problem I'm having was pre existing valve cover job)
My truck is cutting out while driving. In any gear. sometimes at idle and randomly dies. Yes, the very first thing I replaced was the fuel filter. but now I'm stumped. any of you guy's have any ideas?

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Look at ground wires, try another fuel pump relay, TPS or ECM. I'm sorry I don't really know but good luck with it!

If he replace the tps, did he adjust the tps correctly?

sounds like wiring problem to me.

Edit: do you mean to say its more of an intermittent problem? or worse at times?

If your crank or cam sensor is flaky and the computer loses the signal it won't fire the spark plugs or injectors causing it to cut out. Does it cut out completely or just hesitate? Just a hesitation could be a bad coil pack.
