Keep in mind when swapping OEM Front springs on our trucks make sure you install them on the correct side. This compensates for the drivers side lean.

Nice! Any issues installing the gate lock?

I wouldn't say issues, more learning curves lol. I thought "hey I'm smart enough that I don't need to watch the installation video". It was a that point that I had realized I had fucked up haha, but really it wasn't too bad. Just put the two halves together, add soapy water for lubricant, and put it on. Then screw the two pieces together and that's it. Really simple once you watch the video.

I read when they first came out there were fitment issues, but they corrected it. I might go this type of lock in the future. Thanks.

Tried the 3M headlight restoration kit yesterday... results were okay but I think they could be better.

My main issue is going from 800 to 3000 grit is a big jump. I did have some waterproof 1200 paper lying around so I gave that a shot but didn't really seem to help all that much in the end.

I also did it all by hand. My experience with using power tools for polishing can make fuck ups happen faster and in a much more spectacular fashion.

This will do for now. Probably going to get some new OEM headlights eventually.

Definitely a smooth surface but I can still see the haze. Like I said I think if there was more progression from 800 to 3000 and then the polishing compound, it would be clearer but getting a actual glass type clarity is probably impossible.

    Still, looks better than before!

I would give it another go with wet sanding with 3000 then polish it again. No reason you should not be able to get that very clear.

    I'll see about doing that...

Maybe going to the drill for the last steps is the key?

Anyone else use this or a similar kit and get glass-like results...?

I just wet sanded with 1500 then 2000 the used a random orbital polisher with some swirl remover and it came out clear. It takes much longer by hand. Are you block sanding?

I used the 3m refinishing kit for my headlights and my girlfriends headlights and it holds up pretty well but it does yellow faster since you're scratching into the UV coating. but it doesn't take as long the next couple times to Polish it out. I've also read that putting a clear coat with UV protection will help but I'm not confident enough for that lol
Also I used Mcguire ultimate compound on it as soon as I see a little hazing and that pretty much keeps them clear. it's a great product
