Yea I just looked at his posts, said going on a walkabout.

 

So yeah I got my stripped plug out yesterday hoorah. that drain plug on the front diff, sits near some framing and a simple ratchet with the 10mm hex does not go in and seat perfectly 90 degrees. At least with my ratchets. Maybe some are smaller and allow for full insertion of the hex into the plug hols. With this setup, I was off by maybe 5 -10 degrees without knowing it. thats how I stripped it last time. A simple small extension gave me the clearance I needed, and hammered that hex into place, and busted it loose no problem. seems obvious now, but it pissed me off when I did it.

You but some antiseize on the new one?

 

nah, its got gear oil on it, and a whack with the BFH helps too before trying to loosen it

 

What year are they for?

 

Yes sir. The front mount wouldn't line up. Got the leafs bolted to the differential and the rear shackle bolts in place (not tightened) but couldn't seem to get the front shackle bolt hole to line up.

I'll figure it out... @Acerwin is coming over Tuesday to help.

Bolt the Springs to the frame/shackle first and then the Axle.

 

That's what I was gonna do when I went over tomorrow

 

They are on an 07. But I read somewhere that they would fit a 10+
