The grille looks great, it looks like that mesh is fairly low-porosity though, so keep an eye on engine temps, etc. as it might restrict airflow to your radiator.

Thanks for the advice. I had a mesh on before that had much less air coming though, I'm sure this one will be okay.
    Always appreciate tips though!

Instagram is weird about letting you post a photo hosted on their site. You need to view the source code and grab the image URL from there.

If you want to continue uploading pics, upload from your phone to the TW site directly or upload to a site like photobucket. That should make it easier to post photos.

I need some help from the big brains in the 1st Gen section!

Last night as I was pulling my driver side front tire to grease my UCA, I discovered a fair amount of fluid spray on my fender and frame. At first I thought that I might have had a CV boot let go, but it was pretty obvious that it was fluid, not grease.

Anyway, after looking around, I noticed that it was only covering the area aft of the coil bucket and as high as the bucket itself. That led me to the breathers, which in turn led me to this thread. Even though it looks like I probably over filled the front diff, which caused the breather to spew, I figured I'd run it by y'all and see if you had any other ideas.

Here are some really shitty pictures, that probably won't help.

    Thanks in advance!

It can be fairly common, especially with lower gears causing things to spin faster and heat up at highway speeds. I'm using Lucas 90w in mine, regular, not synthetic, and it doesn't spew.

Mine does it, but only at higher speeds. Running Lucas 80w-90 conventional in mine.

Yeah, that's what it's looking like.

I'm spinning 5.29s and I just got back from a fairly long trip on the interstate, with a few 4H runs to get to camping spots. On top of that, there's a good chance that I did in fact overfill it a bit right before the trip. I'm running Lucas 85W-140 conventional gear oil, so it kinda amazes me that that stuff could travel up the breather that far. But with sustained highway speeds and an overfilled condition, I suppose it's possible.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, Brett and Brett!

I ran my rear diff breather to the engine bay. I ended up using a small cone air filter rather than the usual valve everyone uses. I have seen the oil make its way all the way up. Crazy huh

If you upsized the line then the air and oil can go past each other inline and not burp the oil out. I ran 1/2 to 5/8 vent lines on desert racer rear axles just to not have the oil burp out when the diff heats up.
