ts a bamf plate.... the hole is shaped funny. After welding it in it was fine. The oem cab mount is open which is exactly how I welded that up. Go look at your cab mount

 

You may have to turn your brightness up

 

It may be for water to escape ? I drilled small holes in my control arm plugs for the howling fix for that reason . I wanted to make sure water could escape the control arms . I plugged all the holes , it took 2 different size plugs and I drilled them all with a 1/8 " hole .

 

I'm sure it's for several reasons there are holes in the bottom also. I wanted it to look like oem if anyone peaked in there so I tried to reproduce that

Are there no sensors in the black plastic cones that go here, or in the aluminum crash bar? Wondering because I see a lot of armor bumper's require removing the crash bar entirely. This would fall into the "What are you considering doing to your 3rd gen" but I'd appreciate any input, I'm thinking of using the crash bar or bolts near it as a mounting point and making the plastic cover (which is removed here) out of metal to replace

 

Negative. Crash sensors are mounted further back on the core support.

Correct. SDHQ has a really slick and stout hidden winch mount that goes in place of the aluminum crumple zone. I'll get adding it to the truck in a few weeks.

 

I have seen a couple taco's with these. they look awesome

They do indeed! I love the cleanliness of it. And with SDHQ's mount, they have integrated hook points on the mount as well, which most of the other stealth mounts lack.

 

Is it just the photo or are a block of the LEDS in a different colour? I love the Black though. Did you do the full install yourself? out of 10, how tough for these latest bars?
