I can not mount the vertical rods with the bushings perpendicular to the ground. The square top bolt that straddles the frame can not be moved far enough forward toward the cab without hitting the top of the shock on the driver side. if the ends of the sway bar were longer it would not be a problem. Maybe I received the wrong sway bar??? In addition, the double tube that fits inside the c channel of the frame is to long. I shortened one side of the double tube to get it in.

This is becoming a whore's nightmare and I am losing confidence in Hellwig.

Any pics of your installation would be VERY helpful.

I spent the afternoon researching my problems. These problems have been reported many, many times! A new resolution was brought
to market by http://www.streetacos.com/. This guy fabricates a bracket the bolts to the frame through existing holes. He bypasses all the crappy hardware. Now I have to decide do I return Hellwig's crap or buy the brackets.

UPDATE!! I had a local fab shop make a pair of brackets identical to those of StreetTacos. Easy as hell to mount and completely solved the problems. Sway bar orientation is perfect.

    Listen up Hellwig!

In 1965 I worked for Hellwig bending their stuff when their shop was on San Fernando Road in Glendale. It was a real sweatshop, a family-owned business, and they treated their workers poorly.
