I put them in the rear bumpers of people that parallel park too close.

    Seems to work for me.

Mine is in the cab behind the drivers seat. I dipped the front valance, Sport model, and prefer the same look as the Off Road model.

So if I ever get pulled over I'll tell the officer I just dipped the front as well as the fender flare and wanted it to dry for a couple days before I put it back on. Then of course I'll apologize and tell the officer I'll fix it as soon as I get home.

That should work, been pulled over more than a dozen times over the years and Never got a ticket. I'm always courteous and respectful. Yes Sir, No Sir,......it goes a long way, and I just get a verbal warning.

Maybe, maybe not. My front plates came of my truck a few years ago, same as my wife's. No problems for me. Just lucky though.

Well I try to make sure all my shit is straight. I don't need to have to be a kiss ass ! your right to as" yes sir", "no sir" but I don't need the headache these young cops give you . I 100%agree it a job and they are doing it! But I'd rather not have to deal with all that . So in Short {pun INTENDED}the plate is staying put I guess? You know this is my second taco and I got to think of another spot!

Been running mine without plates since February, ben pulled over twice and have had plenty of cops see me from the front and not one ticket and nothing mentioned.
If you have a suspicious vehicle, like maybe a ricer, that will give cops an excuse to pull you over. If you're driving around in a brand-new 30 + K vehicle, okay. My wife's new Lexus doesn't have one on the front either and it's been a few months for that as well.
That being said, all it takes is a new and/or bored cop and you might get some play

I agree, every time I've been pulled over the officer looks to see if I have a current inspection sticker after I hand them my drivers license. Never had one look to see if I have a front plate.

Was pulled over a few months ago for speeding, first thing I said was "thank you for stopping me. I've been driving way too fast. I'm always running late so I end up driving too fast, and this little car is surprisingly fast. I'm always going faster than I think I'm going".

Officer looked at me like he was in shock! "You're glad I pulled you over for speeding?" But I was just being honest. I'm always running late and end up going 10-20 mph over the limit.

Again, just a verbal warning to slow down and be careful.

The grill would make a nice big frame for it............mount in the middle over the Toyota emblem with zip strips.

I'm worried about when I replace the bumper and the winch is now directly where the front license plate would be. I might have to get creative.

I'm going to look up my state laws on front licenses plates and see what's within the legal realm.

When you do that mount it at a 45 degree angle like the gang members do around here. I actually think the best mounting location is up some congressmen's back side. Front plates are a waste of taxpayers dollars. States that do not require save a bunch of money.

I made a bracket to bolt it to the holes where the valence/skirt used to be. Two 10mm bolts that are easy to take off if you ever need to

IMO there just isn't anywhere better to mount them unless aftermarket tube/hybrid bumper with it on the skid or just on the bumper where it was to begin with...........other than the congressman crack as was suggested earlier would be the best place.
