So, I ordered the factory led bed lights for the Tacoma/Tundra, part number 00016-34089. Got them off ebay for $65. The kit comes with everything you need. Connnectors, wiring harness, wire taps, etc. You do have to drill holes in the bed liner. Three per light, one about 1/2" for the light harness, and two 7/64" for the holding screws. Tapped them to the factory bed light circuit so they light up together. I used the attached instructions. The instructions are pretty straight forward. The only PITA is routing the harness all the way to the driver kick panel. I cut the excess harness and re-terminated the ends, the instructions tell you to leave all excess underneath the truck and zip tie it. The lights output is really good, it is cool white(the pic looks yellowish). I can finally see sheit in my bed at night plus my bakflip fibermax is on its way. I will post more pics tomorrow with daylight. Enjoy!

Nope, double cab. But the access cab is included in the instructions.

    Let's go explore
Looks great! As far as tapping into the right wires on the 3rd gen, was there any confusion because the truck looks like a 2nd gen on the instructions?

Silly question, I may have missed it... But how do you turn them on or off? Where is the switch located and is it always hot?

If you have a double cab you tap into the bed light circuit on the drivers side kick panel and you use the bed light switch to turn them on or off, if you have a access cab you tap into the dome light circuit in the same place. It is a switched circuit not always hot. There are many ways you can connect this lights.

Guys, will these bed lights work on a 2014 model DC? The way it's worded, I'm not sure my truck is pre-wired with the OE harness connectors for a bed light:notsure:

No truck is pre-wired with the harness, you have to run the harness from the kick panel to the lights

I didn't understand it then. I appreciate it, pal. It should work for a 2012-2015 if this is the case. I wonder why it only says 2015-16 models. Oh well

The kit includes a wiring harness( that you have to route and install) that goes from the bed lights to the driver side kick panel were you tap that harness into an existing harness in your truck.
It is the same kit for all years what changes is the connection point. This is the link for 2012-2015.
