Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
Some buy AR's because they look cools and have to have one 'just like the guys on TV'...some buy AR's because they can be configured to shoot like a sniper rifle and kill unwanted vermin out to 300, 600 or more yards.
The precision shooters don't have collapsible buttstocks or quad rails or flashlights or lasers or the other GI Joe accessories, the have free floated handguards and 1/7 stainless barrels and have DI gas systems that work very well.

The one I shoot doesn't even have a muzzle brake or flash hider.

    Amazing.

    Got me...good job.
Or didn't you read my post from a few hours ago?

I'll call your oohs and ahhs for the logo on the side and raise you the oohs and aaahhhs I get from shooting tiny little dime sized groups with boring regularity.

Oh ya well my epenis is bigger than yours by 2 inches...

Who uses poker analogies to prove a point?

Good for you and your dime sized groups at 10 feet, nobody cares dude.

I shoot pretty well, but I don't sit here and brag about it on the internet like it's some kind of badge.

For someone who is older, you sure act like a young guy

I'm being as civil as I can to someone that seems to think that only competitive shooters and snipers are real shooters. That's a pretty ridiculous opinion. ;)
Hey tigerfan, how exactly did they train you to 'spray and pray' at the academy? since you aren't a sniper I guess you aren't a real shooter either.

thats because im NOT a real shooter

that gun i carry with me everywhere isnt there to protect my life or some innocent citizen's life

its only there to balance my belt

competitions are fun and cool and all...but they still arent real life

start running a mile or 2 before shooting and then do your shooting with sirens and blue lights and people yelling in your ears on a moving course of fire where you also have to identify the threat vs a citizen

i was in a situation tonite that couldve easily gone south much faster than it did

traffic stop...dude gives fake name...pull him out of the car (with 2 other officers)...dude takes off...the guy on my squad who shoots competition (gasp) pulls his taser...which has a laser sight mind you...and pops one cartridge at him...no dice...missed with both barbs...20-30 seconds later after losing my flashlight and running down a ditch for a short distance...i was able to draw my taser as he was about to descend another culvert and pop him square in the back (mid stride for both of us) with both barbs...

sure a taser is not a firearm...however it operates the same and you still use the same basic motor skills to operate it...

the competition shooter on our squad doesnt practice and train to shoot while moving under high stress...he can kills us all on a competition platform and "puch dime sized holes with boring regularity" but he can hit shit when running under stress

i'll take my ability and training to do that any day over being able to cleaning punch holes in a competition

my skillset may save my life one day

yours just provides you with some e-self esteem to toss around on a forum that you think is populated with people who dont know what the fuck theyre talking about

i will be the first to tell you that you could hand me 5 or 6 different AR platforms and i wouldnt know what the fuck ive got my hands on...but to say those of us who dont shoot the nicest stuff or buy the top quality stuff or dont shoot perfect scores in a competition arent real shooters irritates me

and BTW...the last time i did a stationary course of fire i shot a 250/250

Oh Masada. Look at how Tacticool your rifle is. You know how much weight that foregrip adds? And a flash hider!? Man, you obviously know precisely nothing about firearms. ;)
