Are you running the 3rd gen specific ones or the 2nd gens?

Got my 3rd gen 5100s and HS AAL on today! Here are a few photos. I will take some better ones soon when its not snowing. I will also get some new measurements tonight. When we lowered it down from the lift its was level all around (38.5") and the front got 3" (Set at the 2" setting) I am sure it settled a bit after driving it around some. Thanks Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road for the great products!

That looks good. I just placed my order from HS today. I'm going with the 2nd Gen 5100 and the OME 887 coils for my 17 trd. And now the waiting begins.

Why not get the 3rd gen shocks made for our 3rd gen trucks? Bilstein redesigned them for a reason.

From what I understand is that they will both work on the 2017, it's just the 3rd gen has less travel than the 2nd gen. Marie helped me out and did a fantastic job.

I figure they'll both work but I also figure they're valved different since the 3rd gen is heavier. HSOR is great, i'll be ordering my 3rd gen 5100s and 888 coils through Marie soon. Ordered my rears from her a couple months ago, great service.

I might have gone with the 3rd gen if there were some more reviews on it. I guess time will tell.

anyone running 295/70/17s or 315/70/17s??? debating on going a little bigger than the normal 285... I have 285s on my 4Runner and they look a little small after the lift.... I want to do the Tacoma right the first time.

From the testing we have done here the valving seems to be the same on the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Bilsteins. If there is any difference it is very slight.

I'm running 35's which is the 315 equivalent. If you want to go that route be ready to do a lot of trimming and cutting

I'm up bro's, about ~4 1/2" front ~ 2.5" rear. Lift is a modified Rough Country 4", build in Sig.

Truck rides and drives great. 5100's have always been way too stiff.

It's not done yet but getting close. 295/75r16's

CV angles look good, plan is to lower it to about 3.5" of front lift and have the CV running 0* with equal up and down travel.
