While I know this has likely been discussed, I spent almost an hour searching through various threads for an answer, with no real luck.

I just bought a used 2014 Prerunnner with the SR Appearance package. For some odd reason, Toyota did not include the back-up camera, intermittent wipers, and the nice, auto dim rearview mirror (which even my 2005 Prius has!!!)

My question is whether it is practical or possible to upgrade the mirror to the auto dim, temperature, direction, and programmable garage door opener model? I imagine the lack of wiring is the issue. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated. Although it should be in another thread, if you have any advice about adding on the back-up camera and/or intermittent wiper feature, it is also appreciated.

My understanding is most of the newer trucks come pre-wired for all the accessories...

Also, I just picked up all those options; Steering wheel with intermittent wipers switch, an Auto mirror / temp sensor / homelink but no LCD camera screen) for under $100CAD from a local U-pull it junkyard from a wrecked 2015. YMMV with that, but something to keep in mind...

For what it's worth adding the mirror is super simple to do.
I did it on my 2014 sport.

The wiring and plug was up above the overhead console in the headliner in my 2015.

I have a 2014 SR. The truck is prewired for the auto-dim rear view mirror. Easy install.
