short answer is no, they handle the flying rocks and sand better and nice thing with vinyl is its easy and relatively cheap to fix but nothing is entirely impervious to that kind of stuff

Once you finish the other side, you'll be at 50%.

Then you'll need to add secondaries and bumps. Plus may as well do a cross brace to the coil buckets. Thats 75%

Then you'll want to do a custom race kit and tear it all out and build a whole engine cage with 10'' coil overs. Cage the cab.

Then realize you don't care and sell it.

cool thx, I took a look a look and measured and it looked like it would be super close to the spindle so I wanted to make sure. No local shops stock anything / were willing to order one in to test fit :/

finally got all 24 wheel studs in and new front and rear brakes installed... and i didnt have to take back the 6 ton jacks, they got the wheels off the ground about 1/4 so i could remove the wheels lol

 

couldn't jack it up the LCA ?

 

prolly could of.. but i wanted to be able to have all it all up at once.. seemed safer this way to

 

How hard was installing the fronts compared to the ones in the back?

 

the fronts were cake, prolly did both sides in a hr or less.. didnt have to cut the studs for the front.. what sucked the most with the rear was messing with the drum brakes..

 

Good to know thank you. I was thinking about getting a rebuild kit for them sometime soon so maybe I'll just do it all at once. So the impact gun was basically only needed for pulling the new studs into place - I'm hoping a lot of patience and elbow grease could do it with a ratchet and a cheater bar or a breaker bar and even more patience lol. Worst comes to worst I find a solution to being air tool-less lol.

 

ya used the impact to put them in place.. im sure it can be done without one.. it just made the job easier
