Like I read other saying. You can tell the dealership, but like mine which was SUPPOSEDLY fix 9 yrs ago. They might work on it change this or that but in the end it WILL return to haunt you some summer in the future.

Didn't read the thread so forgive me if this was covered.

This happened in my '15, and they fixed it under TSB. It involved replacing quite a few parts, but afterwards my clutch was as smooth as could be. It came back about 8 months later and took it back in. They just greased something down there and the squeak stopped again. So far so good!

Oh they did the same to my 06 9yrs ago and it was back two summers later. As I stated before enjoy it while it's gone, but unfortunately it WILL eventually return.

What, you expect it to last forever? If I have to spend 5 seconds greasing something every two years, I'm ok with that.

Sorry man, I can't remember what the tech told me. It's something on the pedal assembly though.

I am getting the notorious clicking and plastic popping when releasing the pedal slowly/take offs. I have lubed everything and the squeak went away but not the plastic popping. I have inspected the pedal assembly and everything is in working order so I know that Toyota will do the same as what everyone has mentioned. I am going to buy a stethoscope probe and try to isolate the issue. I know the first issue is the screw you design by Toyota. If I would have know this about these trucks I would have went somewhere else. I trusted the Toyota name and got burned. The American engineers from the bail out have landed in the Japanese auto industry and instead of designing trucks/cars that used to last they have resorted to the American auto industry way which has always been building time bombs so that they can generate what they call renewal business because service and parts are where the real money is at. Sad! I used to work for Kmart auto centers and Penske as well and we consistently had American vehicles coming in for various thing such as struts and shocks, alternators, water pumps, rack and pinions you name it, the American auto makers had it down and still do. The only thing I saw Japanese vehicles coming in for was basic maintenance, oil changes, brakes, and maybe a tune up here and there, but suspension or chassis issues or what was seen if American vehicles. Now that I have seen how American this truck is it makes me sad for Toyota.

The squeaking pedal has been going on since the first gen, got nothing to do with that nonsense about American Engineers.

Hey y'all. I took my truck into the dealer to get the 10k oil change and normal maintenance. I mentioned that squeaky clutch pedal and they ended up replacing the clutch pedal assembly and the clutch bushing. That resolved it for now..

I have no doubts that it will. Although I can't hear any sound from it now, I can feel a slight vibration in the pedal at the same point when releasing the clutch that I heard the sound before.

Mine is Squeaking, took it to the dealers and they didn't fix it. Have tried to Gussy it up with some good old WD, didn't seem to help but a minute. Gonna have to circle the wagons with the Dealership and make something happen.

Try to use disc brake grease--i believe @shakerhood found that to be a solution for the squeaking. I would go that route instead of fighting with your dealer trying to get them to diagnose something that seems to have a quick and easy solution...

I had the squeak on my 2015 and they still used this TSB to cover it. I think they just don't update the TSB as much as they should.
