Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
    Also consider the following:

    1. Out the door you paid 36.2K, they want to give 38K. That means your lift, tires, and all mods are worth $1800. I'm willing to bet you have more in it than that.
    2. You'll get the Pro and then want to lift it, that's another $1500 + better tires (they come with the TRD OR Tires) + $800
    3. There's probably $400 in mods in your truck, bed mats, weathertechs, etc. I'm just guessing.
    4. Then there's the matter of the price they let the Pro go for.

If you want it, you need to do it. If you wait a few months that sensation will go away.

THE SENSATION THAT WON'T GO AWAY IS THE WANT TO MOD THE VEHICLE. Don't believe for a second you'll buy a Pro and leave it stock.

Every thing I wanted to say has already been said.

Honestly, I love the cement color and really really want on, if I was able to start the process again, I would have waited for a manual cement pro, but I am not willing to lose any more money on this vehicle purchase, I already lost enough driving it off the lot.

But please do it, helps keep the economy going.

Eh for me having a manual is always nicer than auto.... But that doesn't justify those stealership numbers.

Don't do it. As some have said with your add ons you're probably losing money and time. Your truck looks great as it is and not worth the hassle of an upgrade so soon. I have a Pro and I like it a lot but I wouldn't trade in a fairly new truck for one.

coming from an 2016 DBOR I would say, stick to what you have already. the badging, color, and suspension isnt worth it when youve already upgraded it yourself already. Plus you cant get that awesome moon roof in the PRO. and leather seats are something you can upgrade too yourself. recommend wet okole waterproof covers

As a side question, OP how does your OME suspension with Dakars ride? I'm thinking about getting the one you have. Thanks.

    the suspension is great!

i have the 888 coils and i wish i got a little more lift out of it but the truck rides perfect. i thought the dakars would be more of a rough ride but they are actually softer then the 3 pack progressive leafs i had on my 2016.

over all i would recommend the set up. the cv angles look good too, i bought a diff drop kit just in case but havent installed yet

Thanks! I was worried about the ride being rough and if I would need a diff drop, so that is very helpful info.

CURRENT: '17 TRD OFFROAD PAST: '16 WRX STI; '12 TRD OFFROAD
I bought my Tacoma (somewhat) on impulse, as I was tired of the constant issues I was having with my STI. I told myself that the only way I would trade in the STI is if I got my hands on the TRD Pro. I did my homework, called a bunch of dealers and found out that the only way I could get a TRD Pro is if I ordered it and waited a few months. I wasn't down at all to wait, as the original reason I wanted to ditch the STI was because of the issues I was facing in the moment. At that point, I started to do my research on the TRD Off-Road. I already owned a TRD Off-Road in the past (2x4) and LOVED it. I figured it was worth at least checking one out on the lot before jumping to the conclusion that the TRD Pro was the only alternative. I ran some numbers, did more research, and realized its essentially the same truck. I really like the Cement paint, and wish Toyota offered it for the standard trucks, but I thought the white looked pretty killer on the TRD Pro as well. It is so similar in so many ways, that it really wasnt worth the extra coin just for the suspension, wheels, and interior / exterior accessories. The aftermarket is HUGE for these trucks (bigger than I ever expected, tbh) so at that point I was pretty much sold on the idea of a standard TRD Off-Road, versus the Pro. Also, I learned a valuable lesson in my ownership of the STI - not all that shines is made of gold. Sometimes you need to put your ego aside, and buy something that will make you happy in the long run, rather than the flashy toy you so desperately want in the moment (to show off to all your friends in). Although the comparison is slightly different, I sometimes think in hindsight I should have considered a WRX in place of the STI I bought - but I wanted the flashy top of the line, and didnt consider the higher payment and all of the downsides along with it. Clearly the comparison is much different with the PRO and TRD-OR, as they are literally the same trucks minus suspension and appearance.

In short, be stoked with your TRD Off Road. Enjoy it. Drive it with pride. Maybe do some new mods to it to reignite the excitement. Or, buy yourself a new toy - jetski, dirt bike, etc.

    Best of luck.
