The spots where I'll weld are bare. Once I weld it on in won't be able to spray it because of the bed being in the way. I don't feel like taking off the canopy and the bed. Then I'll just spray the weld and the frame.

So I drove from Deer Park (north of Spokane) to Boardman, OR tonight. I90 turned into a little bit of a snowy shitshow a little west of Fishtrap, about mile post 250. I was in 2wd going west by the rest stop about MP242 and after passing several people in the underused left lane, I moved back right going about 45-50 mph and got a little squirrelly without trying. 345 CI v8 hemi power is no match for 2wd on wet roads, much less snow/ice. I kicked it into 4hi and ran that to Ritzville, then south on 395. It was about 25 miles north of Pasco that the roads got a little easier with less snow. I went about 50 most of that time and in 4hi, I wasn't slipping. I passed a lot of people, mostly semis, and when I went into the left lane, I didn't feel like I was slipping at all. I felt like I had better grip in the left most of the time, but that is where the deeper snow was.

Pretty sure a Tacoma with less power available would have handled this driving a bit better, but I can't afford everything at once. So far, no complaints about these tires. They are even quieter than the AT tires I had on my taco (hankook dynapro ATM).

FYI, and no hard feelings intended, but the standard duty will work for just about everything unless you are doing a Marty McFly with era-appropriate technology build and feel like mounting a car phone and a CRT monitor.

Either product is great, but I think there's some savings to be had.

The reason I had the xtreme was being in SoCal in the desert I didn't want anything messing up.

So as it turns out, it wasn't an old FJ that I saw. It is a 1967 Nissan Patrol. Listed at 1800 and it needs a bit of work. Interested still? I got pics on my phone.

I am thinking about this because I'm probably adding a backup cam (and maybe a front "rock" cam) where the screen will sit on the middle of the dash. I already have an old Garmin there that I will remove, but I anticipate the new screen might be bigger
