That is a killer deal. I wasn't going to do it but for $150, I couldn't say no.

My dealer screwed up and sent me a 20% off coupon for any parts or accessories and I took advantage of it for mine.

I think the sport is also 30mm ... you'll get less flex with the pro bar

What I want to know is the differences in diameter versus the rest of the lineup. I see on a parts catalog for 2016 there appears to be an OR sway, and a NON-OR sway (as in for all other Tacomas: TRD Sport, SR, SR5, Limited.)

If the PRO bar is thicker than the OR, that means there are 3(?) total bar diameters. That is, unless the Pro happens to have the same diameter as the non-OR trucks.

That actually makes for a reasonable amount of choice depending on your preferences.

I'll have to get the calipers out and measure my SR tomorrow.

(Honestly what I really want is a tubular bar with the same stiffness as OE, to save weight. You could probably shave a good 10-20 pounds off the front with that. Every little bit helps.)

I have the OR and I believe it is the softest sway bar. The front end hardly flexes when going slow. I'm all for it on the highway to avoid rolling it over during a high speed maneuver, but I don't know why anyone would want stiffer

Just came to post up confirming I measured my SR's bar @ 30mm. So it looks like only the TRD Off Road has the special snowflake 28mm bar. Makes sense considering everyone who test drives one vs a Sport it says it "leans" more.
    • TRD OFF ROAD: 28mm bar
    • TRD PRO, TRD SPORT, LIMITED, SR, SR5: 30mm bar

@tzwilliam , looks like you paid a fair price for it so no harm. I'd feel bad if someone had talked it up as the "TRD PRO Exclusive" bar and charged you more money for it.

I know there's a formula to calculate the effective added spring rate but you would need to measure it. Since you have your OR bar laying around, would you be so kind as to measure it up for us?

Yeah, I paid less than 175.00 for the 30mm sway bar and bushings, wasn't too bad.

I also have the TRD Pro shocks on all four corners and TRD Pro front springs which could have been designed/tested as a package using the 30mm sway bar, the truck now feels more solid and does have less lean in the corners.

Next time I go to my warehouse, I will get those measurements.

There is a small chance I may have found a special deal on a complete suspension kit from a TRD PRO. Does anyone know if these FOX shocks are serviceable or sealed? If I do this swap, will my truck gain the extra 1" lift? I'm fitting them to a DCLB OR, has anyone noticed and negative side affects to doing this swap?

The shocks as a whole will lift the vehicle. You need shock body and springs from the PRO
