I was actually thinking of mobtown's sliders & possibly skids.
I have to figure out if I'm going to save the taco for high-mile DD & weekend beach duty (& buy an old suv/jeep for offroading), or just mod the tacoma for everything, probably the later :)

Yeah that's a tough one. I'm going mostly daily driver/beach buggy with SOME off road capability. Having a crazy off road rig on Long Island is kinda a waste of money IMO. If you have no problem driving a couple hundred miles one way to play in the woods then I'm way wrong. If we had hundreds of miles of trails like the west coast guys then it would be different. I'm going to Rausch in March and will do the trails I feel my truck can handle but I'm not throwing all my money into getting it ready either. Again just my 2 cents.

    Except when apocalypse.

Edit: actually expo trucks are the move. And getting out into the wilderness is less and less common everyday. My kid will not be glued to her iPad or iPhone. Hopeful it will be full of adventure up north places like Maine, Nova Scotia, and our lovely state that has no shortage of beauty...best part it will be out of my tacoMa

@bski22 I dislike you for the bumper you have for sale that won't work with my tow package. I cannot believe you still have it.

@conifers4 lets do some custom work on your oem bumper so that you can keep your oem tow hitch package.

just cut holes so that you can stuff the trailer plug next to the plate and 2x rear aux lights on the sides

then you pretty much gained all the clearance of your plug and rear light under your bumper from dragging ass on the blues we plan on running!!!

here is a pic of the idea for the lights, this pic does not show the trailer plug mod though

Someone made L brackets to move the trailer plugs up but I can't remember who did it.
Hoping to get one last beach cruise before the end of year.
