    This is a pretty good PG version of the shit show. That GB is going to go down as the most infamaous cluster fuck in TW history!

    Except the dude did string us along with updates for about 2 1/2 months, then the shit really started to fly! :crapstorm:

    If you have a month or two of your life you'd rather not be able to get back you can read all about here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...y-2-almost-gone.444431/page-208#post-13823155
    :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:

    The tread went from like 55 pages over three months to 200+pages in a couple weeks!

    It was pretty crazy, how somebody could just up and leave for whatever reason. He even hired a guy to get it done for him and it didn't work out either

    There was some dude making "spods" that did something similar where he was on here all the time for awhile and had a waiting list of a bunch of folks with deposits and some paid in full then he just vanished. That worthless Bill dude has fucked a lot of people on his electrical upgrade gb as well. And then there's people who talk a good game before taking your money and actually get their products out on time as promised only to be proved an even bigger worthless fuck because their products suck and fuck customer service because "it's not their problem anymore." I don't wanna mention any names but it rhymes with SOS and spells SOS. All those shady fucks are in a big pile of maggot infested fesciese until otherwise told differently.

    Yeah I know some good personal stuff about him. Not a great business man or human being. SOS I give a hard time from previous experiences. It may be a little excessive though as, in the grand scheme of things, I don't really care. Haha

    Kinda seemed like an odd guy from a few of the posts I came across. As do I, all of my friends bumpers have gaps at the fender spots

    Water at high velocity is kinda like hitting concrete, so I can see it bending a fairly thin piece of metal!

    The first time it happened on a trail to me I thought I fucked up something. It was more of a sound of fingernails scratching a chalk board real loud. After that I permanently fixed that problem

    agreed... does the gas tank really need a heat shield from the drive shaft? Is that thing really going to put off enough heat to damage anything?

    welp, this guy finds out tomorrow if hes getting a new transmission! thank god its still under powertrain warranty and I have not fucked with it. I was correct, it is the solenoid in the xmsn. the guy was surprised that I diagnosed it correctly (to the exact solenoid in the xmsn) and when I pulled out the OEM manual repair sheet that they used (from my 05+ OEM Repair manual) he was a little puzzled at how I knew how to get a hold of all that. I printed off the 5 pgs that covered that problem as credibility that I wasnt a crazy person and had a very good idea what the problem was, so they couldnt bullshit me.

    hopefully Fidelity doesnt make a hassle out of it and gives them the authorization code tomorrow to swap it. Toyota told me to (THE service manager) that toyota does not "repair" engines or xmsns, it is not cost effective. it is cheaper to drop any sort of faulty engine or xmsn, and plug a new up back in than the time it would take to drop it, take off the cover, replace the solenoid, and reinstall. I guess it makes sense on a corporate level, when they are turning 100 cars/day over in service versus our type of ppl that fix things themselves. I told him the part is around 250-300 dollars and all it takes is the xmsn case to be dropped, unscrew the old one, put new on in, and gasket/install the pan and youre done. he said yea we just spent 2-3 cars worth of $$/time on 1, when dropping the xmsn and puttin a new one on would be done in no time.

    heres to tomorrow (fingers crossed) :cheers:
