That's the first scenario that popped into my head where I might be angry about a popping a boner. :notsure:

Truck bodies should never be made out of aluminum.

Yeah, just making the engines out of it (and the beds out of tupperware) instead is a much better plan.

    :stirthepot:

Honestly, if you live where they salt the roads it makes sense. I've had to give up more than a couple vehicles over the years because of body rust, so it's nice knowing that I don't have to worry about it with this truck. :notsure:

I totally feel your pain. My '79 Olds was eaten to death by Ohio salt. Chewed her up around two layers of Ziebarting. So sad.

Yet another reason I remain in Texas.

The worst one for me was a '96 Nissan pickup, the old Hardbody style. Apparently not so hard, as it turns out. 4cyl extended cab, 4x4, 5 speed. I loved that truck; it'd go anywhere you pointed it and it got 20mpg's. Had 160k on the clock when I sold it, ran like a top, shifted perfectly, etc. EVERYTHING on it worked like new. But by the time it was 10 years old (when I bought it) it had started getting cancer. By the time it was 15 years old, when I got rid of it, every panel on it except for the roof had at least one patch, and the bed looked like swiss cheese. Frame was still solid, but the body was so bad I couldn't drive it on the road anymore so I sold it to some kid for $500 and he turned it into a woods bomber.
