Screwed up while backing out of the garage and caught the edge of the plastic housing. It ripped off the painted cover and the bottom panel. The main plastic body is broken (where the other pieces ripped off). The glass, motor, and electronics all function and are undamaged.

Any sources for the individual components of the side mirror, or am I stuck replacing the entire unit? I realize this would be the simplest solution (easy install!), but these are the cheapest I can find the correct parts:

    $36.59 for the painted cover:

    http://www.overstockoemparts.com/to.../outside-mirrors-scat/?part_name=mirror-cover

$262.01 for the rest of the entire assembly:

    http://www.overstockoemparts.com/to...t/outside-mirrors-scat/?part_name=mirror-assy

Best to keep the old mirror for spare electronic components and bit the bullet or can I replace the plastic pieces/housing and keep the existing glass and electronics? I'm not finding part numbers for components in the assembly.

Based on your description, my opinion is that it looks you need to replace the assembly unit as well. I've had good luck with Partznet.com (they are a dealership in Pennsylvania). I've called them up for parts and they know their stuff. Ask them for a coupon for 10% if there is none on the website.

I'll give them a shot! A 10% coupon would have them beating my lowest price find.

Did the same thing about 3 weeks ago. The cover just popped off and none of the clips were broken so that was good. The piece behind that broke off where the two screws held it on to the main housing. I gorilla glued that back together and it went back together perfectly, I got lucky I guess. Clamping the small pieces together while the glue was drying was a pain in the ass. The hardest part was putting it back together....I was afraid I'd break it again.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
I lost the plastic piece on the bottom of my passenger mirror. everythings fine except the is a green wire exposed. im guessing i can order that little piece individually. does it come with the outer painted cover?

Not that I can see. It's part of the assembly, and I haven't been able to find individual part #s for the components.

Ok, then here, use this coupon when checking out online. I just tried and it gave me 10%: comeback10

I got this when I was ordering similar parts for my mirror. I have an online account with them. I login, then added the parts to the online shopping cart. Then I went to do something else. The next day I got an email stating I had left things on the cart and to "value my business" gave me that coupon to complete the order. This looked like an automated email, tracking customers who have left items on the cart without purchasing.

    Good luck!

Thanks! I'll see if I can cancel my order (just put it in last night) and use the coupon.
