Well that is good news so far. Will be better news, if it continues, after another few hundred miles. Got my hopes up. I plan on getting rev 1 between Christmas and New Years with my 1 year service that will be roughly 9,000 miles. For me the first TSB lasted 1,500 miles which means it has been reverted for the past 2,000 miles. But overall mine is decent. Just the early shift with flare from 1st to 2nd to 3rd. No other issues such as hunting. It just gets to 4th way too quick without ECT on.

For a guy that sold his Tacoma, you sure spend a lot of time making negative comments on a Tacoma forum...................... Shouldn't you be on the Silverado forum by now?

WTF is negative about saying 'good luck'?

That was being sincere, douchebag. Furthermore having been a third gen Tacoma owner for 5 months and 14,000 miles, I am offered an opinion, ain't I?

I swear- some people act like they got kicked in the c***.

Again, why are you still here? You WERE a Tacoma owner, you no longer are. Either you're already regretting your decision or you're just really bored.

Is it a requirement to currently own/drive a Tacoma to post on these forums? Some people find entertainment in general discussion about these vehicles. Are you the Forum membership police?

IMO, yeah, otherwise why are you here? He did nothing but bitch about his Tacoma and then sold it. Do you think he'll ever buy another one? Highly unlikely, he just has nothing else better to do, that's obvious. I'm not saying his complaints weren't warranted, they were. Some of us can deal with the small issues, some of us have had much bigger problems than others. He made his choice though. I've owned literally 30+ cars and trucks in the last 20 years. I can't be bothered posting in forums I used to belong to relating to those vehicles, there's no point.

The guy bought a Third Gen Tacoma, dumps thousands into mods, gave it a great run and it didn't work out for him. The third gen has been problematic and underwhelming for A LOT of people--he isn't the first, isn't the only, and certainly won't be the last. If all you want to do is drink Third gen koolaid and share visions of unicorn farts you can by start ignoring every single forum member who says something negative about the truck. Otherwise you might as well get used to it. He has as much right to share his opinion and experiences as anyone else here. He hasn't called names or been disrespectful to anyone from what I've EVER witnessed. In fact he shared a ton of tech detail on his install of lift, tires, etc which many will probably find useful for years to come on these forums.

Cool...................... If people don't like their trucks, that's fine, sell them and move on. People love to bitch, it's human nature, no one is ever happy. Reality is, I love my 3rd gen even though it's not perfect, nothing ever will be. I've had literally ZERO issues with mine other than hearing the LCA howl once and not being in love with the fact that the transmission wants to get into high gear very quickly. Who cares? That sure as hell won't make me sell it.

Great! You have no issues with your tranny!

Then why are you posting in a thread about tranny issues??

Simple. I'm going to have the latest update done same as I did the first update. I never said I had no transmission issues. I said I don't love the way it shifts. That'd be the reason i'm here. Now that we have that settled, why are you here?

I get bored quickly, I also buy and sell cars. Great way to make money. My problem is I only buy cars and trucks I like so I generally keep them for a bit before I sell them. Nothing wrong with owning multiple cars and trucks at one time.

When I own Fords I get on the Ford forums. When I own Tacomas I get on the Tacoma forums. When I own a Silverado I am on any other forum to help forget I own a Silverado.

Lol I wouldn't go that far. The Silverado is a beautiful truck. Id buy one over a tundra is I needed a full size truck. I just don't see the point is hanging around a forum dedicated to a truck you disliked enough to sell after only 5 months and take a bath on. It's like the guy that graduated 3 years ago but still hangs out outside the high school.

Who said I took a bath on it? Wow that's a stretch..

Frankly it seems like you're the one stuck in high school- trying to bully someone out because they are no longer 'in the club'. I owned a Tacoma, it had tranny problems, and I'm posting in the appropriate forum. Big deal. I'm not the one with my panties in a wad. I could care a less what you think or how you feel. I hope you have many trouble free miles and smiles driving your Tacoma around the vast open off-road heaven known as Maryland.

People that are researching auto purchases often search forums for points of view, so the more merrier I say. Just because you don't like it doesn't really mean boo.
