I thought the same thing. I'm a locked 2WD and bet my truck would hang just fine....but, I don't want to be "that guy" :(

I think if you're heading all the way to Moab, this trip should include Bryce, Capitol Reef, and Canyon Lands National Parks as these parks are all in between Zion and Moab and cannot be missed.

After further research I found that you should be good if you're 2wd with solid ground clearance and aggressive e rated tires and an experienced driver. There's some serious sandy sections but as long as you keep speed you'll survive. I wheeled with a locked and lifted with max trac spindle 2wd 4runner in Death Valley on some challenging trails and he did just fine. If you guys want in then just let me know. @Dangerousd1987 I've wheeled Burns Canyon in Big Bear with you and I know you're plenty capable as well. @Airdog , I've seen you pop in around the the forum and I know you know what's up as well.

Very true. Everyone will be plenty loaded down for this 7, maybe 10 day excursion.

You're absolutely right. Good thing is we can always go back for more. Timing is the key here. I would love to spend a month exploring all those parks. Like my recent trip to Death Valley, 5 days just want enough. Probably only hit 10 percent of the good stuff in that time.

Capitol Reef is great exploring as well as Canyon Lands. A day for each park is enough for exploration and sight seeing.

Agreed. Moab is not a must for me. I'd rather spend more time in Bryce and Zion. Moab can be its own trip.

I just finished up 33 days and 7500+ (AZ to NY and back) miles hitting a ton of National Parks to spread my wife's ashes. We've done the MOAB\Bryce\ZION\Arches\Canyonlands corridor a few times previously, this time I added Capitol Reef. IMO 10 days will not suffice for ALL. MOAB is more of a playground all its own, and "I've done MOAB" kind of thing, so I'd skip it and concentrate on others. Arches it gorgeous, but off road is limited and vast meaning you have to drive a lot to see a bit, so I'd drop that unless it was to zip through, get a few pics, and stickers\patches.

Canyonlands has a trek that vehicles can go down into the canyon and is a 2 day tour. It is VERY nice, but only the entrance and exit is challenging. The views... out of this world. Capitol Reef is now a fav of mine. Lots of washes, and up close personal trails. Tons of hiking as well in ALL the parks. It's really a matter of what the overall goals are. I'm down for whatever as getting out and away is all that matters to me. I'll be sleeping in my newest RTT trailer and may or may not have occupants in the RTT on the truck (may be occupied by a family member of mine). If a family member isn't with me, it will be available for someone to use that sleeps in their cab.

Im watching closely, definitely interested, hoping work will permit. This sounds like a nice get away. If Moab stays in the plans its important to plan around Easter Jeep Safari, not a good time to be in Moab if youre not into crowds. EJS is April 8-17. Overland Expo in Flagstaff is May 12-14, something to keep in mind if the tip gets pushed out a touch.

Might be pushed out a bit. That's what's great about planning this early. Moab is going to be out this run, but a time frame that allows for people to be in time for the Overland Expo can work.

Depending on what trails get picked for this, I'd like to join. If its gonna be 4x4 only then maybe @eccracer104 and I will take our road trip around the same time and just meet up somewhere for shits n giggles.

Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks Monument are SO beautiful. Cant wait to go to Utah again
