I notice the Native reservations are devoid of saguaros. Makes them look like the California desert. I see 20' saguaros for sale, they have to come from somewhere I guess. Can't be nursery grown, or are they?

8' to 20' tall plants - $100/ft, including length of arms (if applicable)

Must cost a lot to get them delivered and transplanted also, but sure would make one's property look nice.

Most saguaro sellers get them from the desert. I don't remember if it requires a license to take one, but I do know that a saguaro will kill your ass dead if you screw up.

I don't think you can yank a 8' plus off of BLM or state land, in fact as I travel there's a stark difference between saguaros on Res or private land (none) and BLM land. As soon as BLM land starts, magically saguaros appear.

    Permit required if it's alive.

However you don't need a permit if it's just a skeleton. I have a giant ass saguaro skeleton in my backyard, if anyone is looking to buy one...

I will be passing through your lovely state next year on a cross country road trip. I'll be taking suggestions for the best lunch available. Only request is no spicy food. Unless you want me to die. And in that case, GFY.

With that kind of attitude you belong here! Just pack up and move this way. We have better gun laws anyways.

Right now I'm thinking my trip is SC to Indiana to Yellowstone to Vegas to Houston back to SC. So anywhere on that route. I will have 14 days to complete the journey. Scenic route is fine. Maybe outdoor seating preferred, as my dog might be coming with me, if I can't ship her off to my parents house beforehand.

I'm not sure I'll survive outside of the south. I am quite spoiled by southern hospitality. But next years trip will help me figure out what I'm doing in 2018, I'll turn 30, and likely consider moving. Maybe. We shall see.

Your first need should be at least some weather tech floor liners, best $150-200 you could spend before getting into all your pricey mods.
